@GleekFreek1214 I sort of liked their take me or leave me. you have to keep in mind that for the purposes of the song making sense in the show they had to alter it a bit. The parts they left out were really just the character driven parts of the song that honestly only make sense in the context of RENT. The way they used the song on Glee was very different from what the song was used for in RENT, not to mention time constraints.

If Glee were to do a rendition of any RENT song, which btw would not be a stretch, I am certain they would not ruin anything. Besides you do not have to listen to it if you don't want to so don't automatically dismiss those of us who would enjoy it. I am a fan of RENT as I am a fan of Glee and to have it be commemorated on a show like Glee, by talented performers, is hardly a screw up, seeing as in most of the cast of Glee have had their fair share of musical theater training.
