  • I was most fortunate to do a UK tour with him in 1970 was one of the best times of my life

  • @WirralBikers I wasn't even alive then and you were roaming the Earth with a legend :P It sucks being 15 when you've missed all the good music being mainstream :(

  • His voice didnt seem to change.

  • That is just the best

  • Missing you...

  • j'aime la musique afro-amiricaine pas ssez a mon gout.

  • Yes...I saw saw the great man also in Paynes, Llandudno...great guy.

  • Saw him in Llandudno years ago, got my red vivyl record of H.AP.P.Y Radio signed.

    Legend.

  • He at his best when the band black merda was backing him up.

  • Being a Northern soul fan since the 70`s but sadly only saw him once at a free gig on Portsmouth common & what a performer he was !

  • same here beebandloz, im 15 and i love his music and wish music was as good as it used to be

  • Edwin the music connoisseur. so right.

  • Edwin Starr was a STAR!! I love his songs and I'm only 17.

  • He was so cool live THE MAN.

  • He also sang 25 miles that night.

  • i bet more than half of these whiteys were racist back then lol

  • Sadly missed Edwin..a real Starr

  • Yes, great.

  • RIP Edwin! I am so pissed I missed your gig in Leicester with the Pasedenas in 1998.. :-(

  • Fantastic!!!

  • I am not to crazy about the drummer . He did a good job but didn't get the shuffle feel to the beat that the late , great Rchard "Pistol" Allen had . Pistol was also on "Please Mr. Poastman " , "Heatwave" , "Quicksand" , and many others before William "Benny " Benjamin took over the main drum duties for the Funk Brothers at Motown in 1966 .

  • Edwin Starr was fabulous indeed ! A true Motown legend that will never be forgotten . I was deeply saddened about his untimely death . RIP

  • I was lucky enough to see Edwin live,he was amazing. R.I.P. Heres to another 50 years of Motown!xxx

  • this is old age an this still a gud tune.. nice1 Edwin..

Still there's U TUBE, and live performances of one of the greats. Edwin you are a Star!
