  • only one pilot?

  • how did you get in the cockpit they dont let people go in anymore ever since 9/11???

  • @HamiltonCityMan i always get into the cockpit AFTER the flight never during flight

  • ARCHIE!!!!

  • 747-800 Now exists.

  • @ojomow

Techically, no, it doesn't. It's called the 747-8, not the 747-800.

  • @AviationNation787 and if you want to be even more specific, its the 747-8f and 747-8i.

  • I wanna fly one

  • that s a remote control airplanes,rs

  • i heard new planes will soon hold bikes in the front just like TTC!!!!!

  • hahaha

  • how do they get in there seats?

  • They slide the seats back and forth.

  • @pilotmanmax Same do engineers+conductors on VIA Trains idk lol

  • Huh?:P

  • @pilotmanmax idk l ol

  • @wwefan774977 ask for the access code' simple :)

  • JCV how do you get into the FlightDeck i thought that after 9/11 people were not allowed in the flight deck

  • what a beauitful view! Pilots have the best jobs

  • @mayohca

yeah, the best jobs until they get their pay checks...

  • lol im one of the pilots of the continental 747-800's its so fun i fly from dublin to huston omg it is so fun i should make a video!

  • hahha u sto stpd 747-800 does not exist hahaha

  • you dont sound smart because your not.

  • Look who is telling me. You know something about aviation? 747-800 is still in assembly for cargo lux and passenger version is in development. Continental odes not have them on order either. So if you do not know something please, shout the fak up!

  • amazing !!!

  • this is the best job on earth, there´s nothing better....

  • nice plane and video

  • volare sarà per me sempre qualcosa di magico ! fraze per questo video meraviglioso... ciao !

  • lol.. archie

  • in the video he said it was a 737 ng 700 not a 200

  • Westjet only has -700's and -600's they retired their -200's in 2006.

  • -700's and -800's sorry.

  • @DanDFriend And we have 800's ...CPT Jack Nerle

  • Nice vid!

  • thats not a 737-200 its either a 700 or 600. he said the overhead is a 200 with few modifications...which is true.

  • its a 700 he sais it in the beggining of the video.

  • If one pilot gets out of there seat isnt the other suppose to dawn the o2 mask? Or is that only if they leave the FD?

  • No, neither is a requirement

  • Theres and Archie Comic on the control panel at 0:46

    LOL

  • Yep you're right the regulations state that only authorized fight crew are allowed in the fight deck while the aircraft is under its own power, however as long as its parked and not moving, there is no problem.

  • Wake up guys, its the FO doing the video, must be a newhire. Not too bright saying the skippers name and flight number. Company's are kinda funny about flightdeck videos showing SOP's and procedures publicly.

  • on a southwest flight from buffalo to orlando, they let my 17 year old cousin start the plane and that's not a lie. pretty cool time!

  • that must have been a long time ago. Once the cabin door closes the FD door is locked. Maybe they let him start the APU

  • That's nice, Westjet up here is almost like Soutwest in the US. Small airline, but everyone loves em.

  • i was in the cockpit on take of from teneriff, good experance.

  • Do they still allow passengers to go into the cockpit?

  • It depends on the circumstances, if you are in the air, most likley not, but if you are on the ground, they most likley will let you up there, I was in the cockpit of a Air Canada A321, A320, A319, B767, And

B777, But they were all on the ground, I was also in the cockpit of a WestJet 737-600, 767-700, and 737-800, again, all on the ground.

  • Yeah, I was just on an American 757-200, and they said I can only go into the cockpit when the plane had landed. It was kind of depressing, but I still got to see the cockpit!

  • did you ask them to go to the cockpit or how did you get in?

  • oh nevermind i thought you were a passenger

  • You were allowed in the Cockpit during flight!?

  • That's a 737NG, not a 737-200 or 737-A200 (that don't exists!)

  • Very nice video. I am hoping to one day fly for Westjet. Is it true I need 2500 flight hours under my belt before I can apply to Westjet?

    Cheers,

    Chris

  • You tend to need some jet time... Most guys coming online right now have around 4000 hours

  • Where's the FO? Is he you? 41,000 feet...sheesh you must've been a light bird that day.

  • Actually, FL410 (41,000 feet) is quite normal for the 737NG. Sometimes they'll take them up to 410 with a little over half-full load.

  • Im pretty sure the FO was shooting the video. I assume FO (First Officer).
