I will wrap my arms around Bryce, Travis and all his friends. His heart is still pure and believe it or not, he is becoming stronger. Safe and well, although not there with you. All will be told, and he is watched by the LIGHT.Somehow Georgia stands out, Why? I am not totally sure. there is some kind of bus incident that gets things rolling back for Bryce. Does anyone know what a red patch or scarf has significance for Bryce? Love ya, Dude!
My eyes are still moist with tears as I type this. His own parents threatened him with homelessness unless he joined an "ex-gay" CULT to be held incommunicado and to endure physical and spiritual TORTURE for 14 months. How can this NOT be considered kidnapping???? And how can ANY parents DO this to their grown children??? Aren't there LAWS against this???
I was in the Boston Church of Christ for 2 years 3 months praying to be turned straight. DIDN'T WORK.
I feel soo sad about it, I will pray for Bryce. God loves us, if we are gay or not. God is pure love, no exceptions. Dear Bryce: keep going foward, be happy, God loves u as you are, it doesn't matter what others are saying, I am praying for you...
Bryce if you can read this wherever your at .....you are 23 years old, looks to me like you have friends. Friends are all you need they can be closer then family. Leave wherever your at tell your parents to kiss your ass and find your friends!!!!!
I see boywonder is a Catholic Priest or supports one. Definitely has an axe to grind. An age old one. It was Catholic leaders during the Medieval period who were responsible for burning gay men at the stake. Man alive there are a lot of dirty old skeletons in that Church's closets and under the skirts of many a Catholic Priest.
Check out the ex-gay survivors videos. They are growing in number & express the major problems and cracks in the professional ex-gay industry. It is an industry that makes multi-millions of dollars on book sales, talks, "therapy" sessions and so forth. It is also politically motivated in many cases for if religious conservatives did not have this ex-gay crap to prop up as "change" they really would look like heartless barbarians & they could never appear like that and get any public support.
Also boywonder what might that "careful thoughtful, research, experience and reflection" be? Could it be based on research from NARTH, Focus on the Family and the host of other biased and homophobic rhetoric that tries to justify homophobia in the name of religion? This is not about homosexuality. Love knows no gender. A parent who forces a son or daughter into ex-gay therapy (which is in all reality fringe therapy) because that parent has religiously based fears about it that's a problem.

Eventually the truth will come out. If he stays at Exodus he has to leave eventually, and if he found the experience negative I'm sure he'll tell the press, who'll be sure to print the story. If he found the experience positive, and something he went into under his own steam, what then? Would those who set up the sites/videos pushing for his return and slating his family apologise and accept he made his own decision?
FoxNews is reporting today that the family has finally admitted what we knew all along. Bryce is in an ex-gay "treatment" program of "his own free will".
Okay, so that was only half the truth... By what can you expect from such a despicable family !!!
Oh sweet Mary and Joseph! Are there still people in this world that can be so ignorant? Has anyone contacted the FBI regarding his whereabouts? There was a case a few years ago where a mormon (moron) mother and father kidnapped their daughter becasue she was going to marry a non moron. The adult daughter filed federal kidnapping charges and mom and dad were prosecuted. I prey for you Bryce wherever u are. Lets help find him!!
Maybe the parents ought to love their son unconditionally. Would they freak out and refuse to help him if he said he got a girl pregnant? Or killed someone while drunk driving?
I bet they would be a million times more supportive than when they found out that, *gasp*, he was gay... Can't have none of that in the family, now can we?
Why don't you go back to the Faulkners and tell them nice try?!?
You said he had 2 choices, either homlessness or accepting treatment. Wouldn't a third choice be get a job to support whatever lifestyle he chose for himself. He is an adult you know. Maybe he is doing what he wants. I read the e-mail messages that were posted from his parents. They seemed to be very reasonable. This is a family who obviously loves their son and just maybe their son wants to honor them and accept counsel from them.
Homosexuality is something to rejoice about, not something to shun. I hope Travis finds Bryce and they will live happily ever after. These indoctrination camps are nothing short of modern-day concentration camps - the LDS Church has them, also. May God have pity on these mis-guided followers.
Have any mainstream news organisations been contacted about the campaign? It would be good to raise awareness on that level.
Are the Faulkners really posting hateful comments on this video? Perhaps they should spend more time learning how to be decent love family members instead of being intolerant hateful bigots. It's shameful that people so evil and intolerant can actually have children. I hope they get what they deserve.
I am in shocked that he has allowed himself to go into that direction, lack of knowledge of history of life and why we are here on earth. Religion is a vice! I support you Mamie for this video, you have brought my attention and will be calling the Pensacola Police tonite!.
I am so sorry for the parents! They are unable to accept the will of God for their son. He made Bryce gay, and they refuse to accept it. They need to leave Bryce alone, support him, and take it up with their God.
If he wants to go into a private clinic, what business is that of anybody else? I'm sorry, but he's an adult, he can make his own mind up on things. He is not required to live a gay lifestyle if he doesn't choose to- and perhaps he thinks, rightly or wrongly, that this clinic might help him in whatever choices he wants to make. It remains for everyone else to butt out and let him make his own mind up.
We agree in concept. If he is truly making the decision of his own free will and not under parental or financial duress.
Seems to me that if the parents had been accepting and supportive of their son or simply chosen to "butt out" as you suggested, the outcome might have been quite different.

Nobody really knows the pressure his parents put him under- if any- but he's ultimately made a choice to enter this clinic. It doesn't sound like a kidnapping, rather something he(presumably) would have had to sign up to himself and consent to.
No parent would butt out of their child's life, particularly if it's over something they strongly object to. Not everyone is opposed to homosexuality on bigoted/hateful grounds, but rather after careful thought, research, experience and reflection.
Generally true. But in this case an adult pre-med student doesn't really count as "children" anymore, though. Guys younger than that are raising families and/or getting their legs blown off overseas. I can't feel sorry for this Faulkner guy.
Actually any dependent child under the age of 24 attending a institution of higher learning is still considered a child for many things, including being added to their parents' insurance policy and the like.
I do agree that being 23 is not like being 16 years old however, in close knit families and communities, children do tend to stay home a bit longer.
But that's really besides the point. No one is saying Bryce is a child...

Which part of my argument is hollow? And what argument was I in fact making? A statement that not everyone is opposed to homosexuality on hateful grounds but after intelligent reasoning is self-evidently not hatred.
Comments about 'idolatry' are quite cheap and unnecessary, and only serve to show you don't offer the same tolerance to others as you expect them to show to you.
The Catholic Church (which btw WAS my church) is nothing but a bunch of self-hating homosexuals in deep denial. But I won't stop them from doing their cross-dressing runway shows anymore than you should stop us from being who we are.

I am not a troll. I haven't made any hateful comments, simply putting forward a different point of view. We disagree on this matter, but discussions should never get down to personal attacks.

Wonderboy It's self-righteous, Pharisaical pricks like yourself that I can't stand. Why? Because it's people like yourself who keep this argument going that gay people should not have marriage equality and other civil rights because their sexual orientation is a choice that can be changed. I don't give a damn about what you say regarding "personal attacks". You attack people (including myself) personally when you come up with these underhanded attacks against LGBT people.
I'm not attacking you, and it shows the weakness of your argument when you descend to personal attacks and assumptions on the reasons many have for a different point of view to your own. You have generalised, shown prejudice, made sweeping statements, knowing nothing about me. The tone of your attacks have more, sadly, to do with hate than anything else.
You are right, and kudos for keeping yourself above the immature slandering that you have endured for just stating an opposing opinion that the majority of America agrees with. But, if you disagree with the racist, bigoted homosexuals then you are immediately considered somehow wrong, no matter if there is logic involved.
Wonderboy the boywonder - "Not everyone is opposed to homosexuality on bigoted/hateful grounds, but rather after careful thought, research, experience and reflection." Actually that is a huge generalization because, for one thing, homosexuality is not a simple "lifestyle" as some call it. When parents are educated through professional organizations like the APA, AMA, etc. they will not be so terrified as those parents who have been steeped in anti-gay religious Ideology.
Wonderboy021082, I went to several Psychiatrists but "my own free will" was nothing but a desire to please society. A desire to be "normal" and be accepted by my loved ones. I believed I was plagued by a disease and I needed to cure it. It took me many years to realize I am a normal man, I am gay, I have a really cute guy for 9 years now. I have brought up two loving children and my sister and kids accept me for who I am. But most importantly, I love me again. So "free will" is relative too. LEX
It is instances like this that make the USA look so uncivilised in the eyes of a lot of the world. These so-called religious cure gays establishments have more to do with the almighty Buck than Christianity. Send-in the State or Federal authorities and get these brain-washing establishments closed down. This is the US Christain Taliban at work. You need a "Peter Tatchell" and his direct and non-violent action. Make as much noise as you can, all you reasonable-thinking Americans! Good luck

Oh my God this is such a stupid video.........Lets be honest for a minute.......this was clearly ONLY made becasue some horny love sick weirdo has some sort of obsession with this missing fruitcake....
I hope David and Debra Faulkner are proud of putting their loving son in a concentration camp where he is being psychologically terrorised by christian nazis. They are not fit to be parents.
Why Bryce Faulkner?, why we are in a inperfect world, bsed in hate .... i hope that u can come with us quickly ... U R NOT ALONE MAN, I AM HERE WITH YOU....
Hope and Love to Bryce and his friends and to all gays who suffer such a fate. I read about this in a German webside and it's heartbreaking news. I hope one day he'll be free to live the life he chooses. And to all American gays: please let the media (like CNN) know about this. Maybe it helps to find and release him as fast as possible. Love and Greetings from Germany Martin
What those parents did to their son should be a CRIMINAL OFFENSE...I believe they've forfeited their rights as parents. The GLBTG community needs something akin to the Underground RR from the Abolitionist days of American history...These hapless GLBTG brothers and sisters need support when their family won't give it to them...or when they do EVIL things like Bryce's biological spawn-inators did...UNFORGIVABLE!!!
What a heartbreaker, what a cold world it can be. My thoughts will be with Bryce and the terrible choice he was forced to make. Thank you, Auntie Mamie, for posting this and may some positive results come from it.
A beautiful love and two lives under a vicious assault. Sadly, this kind of alienation and despair isn't rare among those of us in the LGBT community. I will keep Bryce and Travis in healing thought.
I am among their gay brothers. I love and support their relationship and will send this to my friends in Florida. Thank you
for posting this. May love prevail and Bryce be safe and return to his real home:

Good luck

I hope David and Debra Faulkner are proud of putting their loving son in a concentration camp where he is being psychologically terrorised by christian nazis. They are not fit to be parents.

Amen. Nothing Christian or charitable about what that family is doing to their child...
Shame shame shame !!!

AMEN !!! We do need more resources to save our brothers and sisters from this abuse...

Travis and his gay brethren.

That is so true.
If only he could hear us and know that there is another option, a more loving and accepting one.
Who cares if his family decides to turn their back on such a fine young man? We'll be his family...
Please help us find Bryce and show him the way back to Travis and those who love him...
