  • I think the local Big Lots still have those

    XD

  • ...nice review...they are selling these for $15us...the Star Trek figures look like crap compared to the new highly articulated Star Wars figures...

  • unfortunately Playmates didn't release the other half of the figures to build the full bridge, but I guess you can buy all the first half TWICE and build it. But I heard that won't help you for the Teleporter Room.

  • Yeah....we were shafted by Playmates again.....I'll never buy their sets again until the entire set is available. I hope everyone keeps this in mind when the second movie is released and they try to rope us in again!!!!

  • If you think that has good articulation, check out some of the new Star Wars figures.

  • come see the largest trek prop collection on my videos

  • This set sucked. A cheap mat. See the old Mego set for a good set. Tell me why they could not add a few more veiw screen inserts or a solid base that could snap in the BAF seats and stations.

  • Love how people have a go at him for being a nerd shows how stupid they are by caring to make comments

  • Die Plymates die! They really f~ucked us over with this line

  • So... You're telling me to grow up.... where you then tell me I'm forty... when I'm nowhere near forty years old.

So you're telling me I should continue growing up just as I plan to?

  • @canvoodoo Don't bring other people down just because they are still young and you are old!

  • @canvoodoo You are the "twat" that decided to search "Star Trek" and stopped in to watch this.

Who's the loser... how 'bout you,

  • I took foam board and glues the mat to it then glued the bridge peices to the mat

  • All of Playmates stuff is terribly cheap. I hope they don't get the license for the next movie.

  • How'd you get an image instead of text for your user name at the top left above the video?

  • nice bridge

  • this product is cheap as hell. I had the enterprise d playset when I was growing up and it was a complete bridge with plastic walls and electronic sounds. Come on playmates! wtf?

  • I have this bridge playset and have about the forward half of the ship compleated. But since the toyline has canceled I can't finish it. So i bought the Enterprise-D's Bridge playset. Not only is it "FUNTIONAL"---it works quite well with the ST 09 movie cast. The Transporter Room is a cool playset, you should get one for collector sakes.

  • hey if airrazors there you could say its the axalon and get other maximals to do things

  • You kind of spelled "buy" wrong there, fella.

  • @JTMitchell87 I like it when someone disses someone else online, and has a major spelling mistake.

  • @jamaletje hey he works his butt of to make these things. show some respect

  • OMG thats a cheap produced toy......

  • Talk about a marketing scheme...buy other figures to complete the set.

A year later and we see how much this line FAILED.

    RIP Star Trek & Playmates.

  • @fmscribs Tell me about it, I still like the figures themselves; nowhere perfect, but they have a fun sort of feel to them (I'm no action figure/model collector, I just got them because I'm a long-time Trekker and loved the movie and thought, "Gee, the Bridge with the Seven all there in uniform would be kinda cool to display"- oh well still look OK-great, depending on who you get) but they left Chekov and Bones in those dumb Cadet jammies...put Chekov (my fav.) on a Sulu body, looks OK; Bones...

  • i love how you put kirk in the captains chair when hes pointing his phaser at the screen, lol

  • What bugs me is here in western australia I have been to a ton of shops that carry this line and all the 3 3/4 figures dont come packed with the extra chairs and consoles just their hand held crap, the package is designed to hold them as it shows these big empty gaps but for some reason we didnt get them so that means playing inflated online prices for these things which we should have got in the first place

  • @StInG268 There same here in Germany. :(

I hope to find some extra chairs and stuff in the german bridge set edition... but I think, I won't.

  • add your own velcro to the bottom of the stuff, i didnt buy this i dont like there way there is no walls but that just me

  • Where do u get the back data screens

  • no ware near as nice as the ST TNG Bridge play set

  • the new size for the star trek figure kick's butt, the only down side is if there is any more figures out there u can't build the hole set. So you've got the bridge crew in cadet uniforms (micco, checkoff, an spock's girl friend or star ship uniform witch spock an kirk) i'm not sure there r any more figures out an if there is i've not seen any. So more or less S O L on building a full bridge, unless more r made from the movie? plus the bigger figures for the movie don't have them, i've checked.

  • I wish to God you'd hold things still so we (the audience) can get a good look at it... for future reference.

  • You're not really missing much with this. It's a plastic mat. The mat has chairs and desks that sit on it.

  • I always wanted the tng bridge, when i was a kid. My parents only got me the action figures, as they thought id break the playset. "im sure they were right."

  • i like 6:56 gangster look...lol funny!!

  • theres alot of peices so ull buy more and theyll make more money ur pretty stupid for a nerd

  • That's the point?

I knew that when I bought it. It's not like it's a new concept among toys. Buy a bunch of small things to have a bigger thing in the end.

    Seriously, you're surprised?

  • glue the whole thing to a peice of cardboard moron

  • Yes... Let's ruin it. That's really smart.

  • it wasnt about ruining it was about making u look dumb

  • I'm clearly far from dumb, so I'm sorry you failed.

  • the transporter room matt is roled up maby you should get it its an add on too

  • This is looking more of a model kit then a play set... very bad model at that. I'm not very enthused by this product's quality.

  • I got the 3.75 inch Kirk and Young Spock for $3 each at walmart. I kept Kirk in the box, but i had to open Spock these are really nice figures for how small they are.

  • I'm so happy I watched this today. I noticed your bridge had two of the grey little levers on your control panel and mine only had one. Turns out one fell off and was in the plastic bag at the bottom of my garbage...almost an incomplete bridge because I didn't see that small thing...THANKS!

  • I'm a Trek fan, and I really never buy the toys; I have one model phaser, and that's it. But I am GETTING THIS.

But I really don't think I'm going to be getting all 18 action figures; it's just not going to happen.

I think this set, which comes with Kirk, and then the 6 other core Enterprise crew members (in Enterprise uniform, so I'm going to wait for McCoy and, my favorite, Chekov to get their "correct" uniforms) is enough to fill in the set.

The old bridge wasn't so full anyway ;)

  • Rest assured, by the time the line ends, you are gonna want the Enterprise.

  • Bubbly Sticker

    4:00

  • the new Enterprise rocks! & ya they changed a lot of things but even Garrett Wang said the universe needed a complete overhaul to keep the franchise alive.

  • It should come with ELECTRONICS! arghhhhh

  • lol 12:01 Kirk are you drunk again?

  • nero's ship is called the Narada!

  • are all the pieces been released for the bridge, i have only have 7 of them. Are more going to be released??

    I must know!!!!! lol

  • do you think they'll make new Star Trek figures, you know how they have cadet mccoy and chekov (uhura as wel), you think they will make those same figures in their enterprise uniforms???

  • Yeah, they will have Uhura, McCoy and Chekov in their Starfleet uniforms when the second wave of toys is released this fall. But with the prices going down, it looks as though the toys will have a similar fate as the Indiana Jones toys. There were a couple of waves that were never released because the toys didnt sell well.

  • probably because there was 10 figures in this set or wave 1 and there are about 18 chairs and accecories to complete the bridge, and I think there must be another wave due to the fact that without another wave the bridge would not be complete.

  • y are airazors feet backwards?

  • why is it always about 3 inch figures people are so lazy to make playsets for 6 inch

  • coolio but you gotta stop saying nice...lol

  • just bought this yesterday, already had about 5 chairs and 8 figures. im putting the mat on cardstock. and making an elevator, and glueing everything in place (not the figures) its gonna be awesome it already looks great. should be done in 3 weeks. If you have all these supplies and have the tools its not a disapointment. Its awesome!!!:)

  • not good at math huh? $7. a figure $25. for the bridge If you could call it that

each figure comes with a chair wow!

  • That's only if someone actually wants to buy it. It's not like anyone's forced to shell out the money for it.

  • the most expensive toy of the line about 95 dollars.(although it'll be closer to 30 when all this stuff goes on sale later this year.) they could've used molded plastic for the bridge considering they are asking you to pay about 100 bucks

  • Huh? $95?

  • WHY WONT THEY MAKE A GIANT 6 inch figure playset!! UGGGHHHHH

  • ITS NOT COST EFFECTIVE

    LOL

but seriously they did that once before if you remember or not the TNG Electronic Bridge Playset in 1993 it was huge and cost 50 bucks dont think playmates which only licence is TMNT (which has been declining in sales over the past few years) could afford to produce a massive playset in that scale

  • YEAH I GUESS UR RIGHT

  • seriously that is like movie masters and their bull shit on not making a 6 inch tumbler

  • I know

  • Great review! Not a fan of the 3 3/4 figures from the Star Trek movie, but I've had my eye on the bridge playset. Thanks for saving me 25 dollars of disappointment.

  • with his legs bent the wrong way, he looks like a nazi...

    LMAO

  • Interesting, I'm the opposite; love the ship, blah for the playsets and build a set stuff. Granted, I have my own foibles with the latest Playmates Enterprise, but I still like it better than what I've seen regarding the bridge and roll play items, though I do think the transporter is pretty cool. Thanks a million for this up close look, rather disappointing in my opinion but interesting anyway.

  • Will you be reviewing the other Bridge parts as you/ if you get them?

  • It's definitely possible.

  • Kirk demands skimpy women on his bridge.

  • at walmart I saw blizillion star trek BIGGER scale figuares

  • HOW DARE YOU

Captain Kirk would never allow some transformer jerks on his bridge.

  • But the mass murdering Terminator or space cop with a special ring are okay? ;)

  • To some extent yes. But no beasties.

  • Wait until I throw in the Hobbits and mutants!

  • Nice review. I'm not sure if I should get this because I think it looks plain without all the chairs and figures included with it. Just a flat mat if you ask me. At least the transporter room does something.

  • You could try using micro metal foil adhesive to glue those decals back on if they peel off. I've used it to restore some decals on old Power rangers Megazords. It works like a charm. At least it did for me.

  • I like the Enterprise bridge set better. Sadly though Art Asylum screwed us over with it, by only releasing 3 out of 4 and making one of those an exclusive. Not interested in this set at all, bbt it's still a great review.

  • wow kirk fell on his face. Is he ok ?

  • 4:34 BTTF reference

    1.21 GW - Great Scott!

  • wow, we have the same doorbell.

  • good vid are you doing a review on the 6 ins toys

  • Most likely I won't be picking them up.

  • 5/5...because you dislike the new "enterprise as much as i do. But if you ask me some the bridge gimmicks were ripped BSG

  • I would glue that plastic floorplan to a piece of wood.

  • Unfortunately if you are in the UK the basic set is all you can get. No BAD bits are included with the figures over here. Way to go Playmates.

  • So if you could choose a toy company besides DST to handle the Star trek toys who would you have chosen.

  • Honestly, Art Asylum/Diamond Select have done a fantastic job so far.

Besides them it's a hard choice. Hasbro, Playmates, etc don't have that kind of flare that AA/DST have with their products and, in my opinion, Star Trek needs top of the line stuff.

  • Cant disagree with you there. Though I hope the DST E-D dosent feel as frail as their 1701.

  • I miss the 80s where every line had some giant ass playset. The BAF concept is a pretty smart way to get it done without having a big non-selling item on the shelf. Makes you spend a damn lot to get a complete one though :O

    Little Kirk. Lulz.

I was looking at the new small Marvel toys yesterday. A lot of them look pretty good, nice articulation too. The only one that's just a NO GO is Punisher, they totally screwed that one up.

    ENJOYABLE VIDEO, THREE THUMBS UP

  • I think the only actual playset I had growing up was the Wayne Manor/Batcave that came out for Batman Returns.

But yes, Build-a-Figures... I'm a sucker for them and wind up with a bunch of figures I couldn't care less for.

  • I had that Batcave. I liked the flippy spinny bit that let you "change" a Bruce figure into Batman. The fun thing, I played with Ninja Turtles on it more so than Batman :o

  • I used my TAS Batman in there more than the one it was made for.

I never could explain how the costume would change so drastically. Call it animation error.

  • I love your camera! AND your reviews! :D

  • Agree the new ship seems to have a repeating pen!s shape motif to it. Why?

  • hehe i guess, but ya i liked Voyager over any other series, saw some eps of others but i like Voyager, kinda weird for someone who really hates star trek, i guess everyone has some deep liking of it even though they hate it

  • star trek sucks, although Voyager was good, but the rest suck

  • So, since Voyager was good Star Trek itself can not suck. It is a Star Trek series after all.

But you're free to feel that way. I know people who feel Transformers suck.

  • :Gassssssssssssssssspppppppppp: I'd be honored Optibotimus!

  • how much is this star trek command bridge set ?

  • Watch the entire video before asking questions, please.

  • What is this video about? How long is it? What is the setting? Are you a man or a woman? What language do you speak? Do you like Neil Diamond?

  • All those questions and more will be answered next time....

    On Unsolved Mysteries.

  • star trek..... hmmmmm.

  • First person to comment gets a back massage!
