  • i love this song im going to the army

  • this song makes me cry i know it is about the Army and it reminds me of my loving boyfriend he gets diploid in September to Afghanistan

  • I've been out of work since September 2011, and it's tough out there. This song hits home big big time. Had my first interview last week, prayed the whole way going there and coming back that it'd go well. Hopefully things will turn around, because I'm running out of things to sell. Never thought I'd ever have to consider applying for government assistance, but I may have to. But I can't stomach the thought of single me possibly taking away help from a more needy family.

    I'll get through it, ju

  • Reminds me of my dad and boyfriend who has been out of work for going on 2 yrs....I have a job and a college degree but can't get a job in my field. I don't make enough to keep a roof over me and my daughter's head. thank God for those who have helped me along the way!

  • This song was not written by Mr. Dunn. It was written by a man from Union City Tn. After hearing that the Goodyear Tire plant was closing, Leaving around 1500 employees without jobs. Mr. Dunns delivery of this song sells it as if he worked at any of the plants we have heard about in the news. Good job Ronnie Dunn for giving this song and all displaced employees a voice during these hard times.

  • @jaruss1313 I live within 45 minutes of the Union City plant you're talking about. This entire area has been devastated by plant closures, outsourcing and temp jobs...If we don't get rid of our current President we'll all be out of work...

  • We can relate...times are tough in Nova Scotia too~Debbie Singleton

  • this song makes you think and be thankful thankful for what you got if your working and if your not it says you are not alone

  • i have one thing to say: For all those rich stuck up people out there, some people aren't as fortunate as you and get welfare just to eat and survive.

Also those people that disliked this song must not know what it like to be out of work, they will get whats coming their way. God Bless!!

  • well this song is true but also sad i hope anyone reading this is homeless of out of money or watever u need i hope u get it. God Bless! <3

  • This song is soooooooooo true, The Economy has gotten so bad that this is how alot of peoples lifes are. some people are living in hotels and some don't even have that. My best friend since 2nd grade told me that her family got evicted and noone that lived with her had a job there is 7 people in her family(Herself 12, her mom, her dad, oldest brother that just got out of army 18 years old, brother 17, brother 14 and nephew 5) well anyways they got kicked out so now they are living with me luv ya

  • @BooBooNicky your are a good man i know how you feel my friend has three people living in hi house his dad lost his job a year ago and his mom has been keeping them afloat but they are divorced i would have them come live with us but we already have 5 people in a 3 person house

  • I recently got back from Afghanistan and this song suits me. 22 months being away at the age of 19 is tough. But it will hopefully get better.

  • I was a steel worker, I have been on the road working 6 days a week home every other weekend to provide for my family, as of thursday this week I am out of a job! Thanks to the economy, I loved my job and was just the other day saying at a grocery store I can learn quick! lastly at last job I always told my employees I was not above picking up a broom, that was the way I managed and worked right besides my guys. This song is so deep!

  • This was me working construction, the hard times eventually pass though just keeping your head up

  • I got a strong back, steel toes, and rarely call in sick, sounds like my pa. He works sun up to sun down. God bless everyone out there like him, you'll always have my respect.

  • Who in the hell would dislike this song really!!!!!????

  • i like both hip hop and contry but mostly coontry i love this song

  • The intensity in Ronnie Dunn's voice when he sings a song, makes it seem like he is talking only to you and you relate to what he is singing.

  • absolutly love this song brings tears to my eyes everytime i hear it reminds me so much of my loving bf

  • My hubby does everything in his power to support me and his daughter

  • Funny...Its not only about men...women tooo, The 2 people that disliked it must not be americans!!

  • @fca2ak1 hahaha

  • i live in new york state and am very fortunate for all i have.i pray everyday for the less fortunate and that someday we will all live decent lives as long as we work for it.

  • this song goes out to all the newfoundlanders ;)

  • If you can listen to this song and not be grateful for what you have, then you don't deserve it.

  • Reading all these comments gives me goosebumps. Glad Gods let me have a good life.

  • This is a song about me ha 101st airborne div and now working at toys r us for four hours a week. Need help in pa.

  • I love this song. It's about a real man! I love a real man that this song makes me think of.

  • There are few in this country music arena that know what it takes to get things done . Mister Dunn....my hats off to you......keep em comin'. From Washington State.

  • THIS SONG IS ABOUT 3/4 OF OUR COUNTRY!!!

  • When did he write this?

  • I've worked for the company nearly 9 years. The past 2 1/2 months I've been getting only 25 hrs a week. Not able to work part time because we don't know when were going to work. Now told "that if sales don't go up I'll be cut in 4 weeks". Being the highest paid production employee, I'm the only one being cut and my hours going to the new guys that just started 6 months ago. Called in sick only 3 days in 9 years. This is the first time in life I haven't had the money to pay the bills. :-)

  • @stinar1 i've worked in alaska in every field pretty much the turnover rate is so high i''ve had to become a jack of all trades and now 10 yrs later i'm over-qualified for most the jobs that are available so i work for myself. it beats going on wellfare you know what i mean?

  • I don't usually listen to country music but this now speaks volumes to myself I live in Ireland. 5 applications in today alone! I know the companies and I know I'm more competent than some current employees but that's the way it is.

Seems to be luck now that gets a job!

  • inspireing if u think so thumb up

  • My husband lost his job as I did this summer. He is cutting wood just to make ends meet. People don't get it. It is a really hard time for many people. But my husband has been turned down for every job he has applied for. God will take care of us but people who dangle jobs in front of people and not let any of them get it is just evil to those who are really trying to make a living. We do everything we can to survive.

  • Got outsourced again. Moved 700 miles to drive a harvester for my father in law 18 hours a day at half of what I used to make but I got to feed my family and would work more if there were hours enough to do it. Nearly shed a tear when I hear this song because it sounded so much like me when I asked for the work and feel lucky I got it.

  • @JamesHalfHorse Do what you do, brother. Keep that working spirit, things will change for the better. Believe in yourself and America. God will smile on you and your family.

  • This song describes what my husband does everyday for his family. This is how he shows his love for us...He is amazing and I am grateful that I have him and grateful that he does what he does so that I can raise our children and they can never want for anything. I love you DJ...you are the best..

  • I am fortunate to be a hiring manager and this song really touches me. I wish that I could give more opportunities than I have. But I also feel great knowing that I could be impacting someone's life in a major way.

  • i listen to this song every day before work to remind me of how fortunate i am to be able to work. it makes the working 12hrs over night a lot easier to get through. good song, be grateful and work hard!
