The fact that i play right handed, and he was left dosn't really come into it. Infact lots of people are amazed that he got the tones he did because when you restring a guitar "backwards" you throw off the string to pole relationship somewhat.

It's a LOT harder to sound like jimi than it is to play his songs.

his strings were not backwards. it was just a right handed guitar restrung for the left handed. his pickups were reversed though.
