  • we have one of these, very good :D

  • best log splitter ever! we bought one last year and we run it on a case IH 434 and i'd say we'd split over a ton per hour! what an impressive machine they are :D

  • where can we get that in the US, this is exactly what I need, no hydraulics.

  • That's interesting - thanks for the tip. That's the table of course?

  • How do i get one and how do I become a dealer for this thing???

  • you should have used highteck precision saw for the this job,the log wont burn like this.

    Got an axe.

  • @1Patrioti - Have got an axe but I leave it in the shed :) Logs burn fine - oak, ash, yew etc. Thanks for your interest. We love 'em!

  • Very simple and effective!

  • Is there any way for me to buy one from you and have it shipped to the U.S. where I live?? Thanks for the video!

  • @231MasseyFerguson - not yet I'm afraid

  • @hycrack How much longer is the wait before we can buy this splitter over here in the United States??!! I WANT ONE!!!

  • @hycrack

  • I have a PTO splitter that's very similar to this one. It's called a "Bark Buster." I recently purchased it and love it!!

  • @231MasseyFerguson - But you can't buy a Bark Buster anymore - only the Hycrack :)

  • @hycrack You are correct.. But how do I buy the Hycrack if I live in the U.S.? Where do I get one at?

  • I have a PTO log splitter that's very similar to this one, but the one in this video is better. I have one that's called a "Bark Buster." It was outlawed here in the U.S. back in the late '80s or early '90s- can't remember. People were getting seriously injured and killed. Yes, it is dangerous but so is a chainsaw and every other piece of rotating equipment. I LOVE MY BARK BUSTER!

  • Damn, wish I could get one of these in the US.

  • @lancewell - Sorry no US sales at present. Sort out your importation rules for agricultural and forestry machinery - they won't let 'em in :(

  • How much does it cost and where can I buy it at?

  • what kind of horse power would the tractor need?

  • @jdeerem

For the HC1X shown and the HC1X wide platform we say 25hp is ideal although loads of grey fergie owners run them - 20hp I think - plus we have had a few happy Kubota owners with 17hp. The larger variant - the HC2X shown on the web but not in video yet ideally needs 50hp

  • I need one..in Canada.

  • try some hickory or green oak,, dry oak is not a test really,, the other problem is its not cost efective to let the hour meter on any tractor tic just to split wood,

  • @timbco430 - Thanks for the comments. Green oak no problem, nor green beech or yew. We don't have hickory here so can't try. Lots of us run Hycracks on older dedicated tractors just for a splitter. It's no problem and very efficient. 5000 machines out there - we love 'em.....

  • that is a good bed hieght to auger ratio, makes it a lot safer and easier to control

  • sell this in Canada!!

  • Love it, Simple elegant design..safe and efficient...I think you have a winner on your hands.

  • wish it was about twenty odd years ago when we was in the log business ! brill .

  • They were around 20 years ago! and you can still buy them!

  • thanks ! if we ever get back into it will give you a call all the best r.

  • I love this idea! So simple it is stupid, no hydraulic valves, hoses, reservoirs, filters...! Do you have any Canadian dealers yet?

  • Glad you like it! - no dealers outside of the UK sorry.

  • Very GOOD SAFE utilization of what has always been an intriguing but hazardous idea. Your bed width versus screw height solves the spin block problem. And your bed depth/screw length/ height keep the operator away from the part that bites! I speak as the owner of a 20 Ton vertical/horizontal hydraulic owner/user. Do you have an USA dealer?

    Regards Steve Unruh

  • - sorry no dealers yet in the US but we're working on it. Anyone want 10 shipped to distribute themselves?

  • How much would you want for 10 shipped to US? Do you accept paypal?

  • Please contact us via our HyCrack website to discuss this further.

    Regards,

    HyCrack

  • i like the full cage safety mask. very mad max.

  • PPE taken seriously - "We don't need another hero"!

  • Interesting concept. Impressive.

  • When I see comment pending aprovall that tells me your product is most likely questionable at best.

  • The Reason we ask for approval is that we are demonstrating a serious tractor mounted log-splitter here. A number of the comments we reject are idiotic, badly spelt you say spelled and in some cases profane. We dont want those comments thanks. As to a questionable product; if you bought a HyCrack screw splitter you would see when it was delivered that the serial number would be over 4700. So there are nearly 5000 customers out there now, happy users with a big pile of logs and warm houses.

  • A Sears vetical splitter is MUCH better no lifting and a cleaner splitt.

  • Hello honeybees1 - Everybody's entitled to their opinion even if yours is the wrong one! We don't have the Sears splitters in the UK but there are plenty of vertical ones. We like the screw type PTO splitter because it's simple and copes with all wood including tough and knotty hardwood. Many vertical types struggle here and are slower as you have the return stroke to deal with. The HyCrack rates at 40tonnes, check the price of a decent 40t vertical.

  • Show us a demo using fresh cut wood.

  • Green wood or soft wood is usually no problem what type shall we video?

    HyCrack

  • Is there an emergency stop for the operator?

  • The splitters are CE approved and they are supplied with an emergency stop cord for the engine stop that attaches to the guard rail.

    HyCrack

  • Thanks for that. Looks like a great piece of kit.

  • that is a great idea, you just might have saved me a ton of money, thanks mate.

  • nice! Probably the safest and most efficient splitter I've seen so far. Great Video
