@edwardsweeney24 Absolutely. This happened once during a flight between Montreal and Val D'Or (not Air Canada, and not a Dash 8, but a similar ATR-42 operated by a now-defunct airline). The prop blade came off in mid-flight, and sliced into the cabin, killing the poor bugger who was sitting there. The plane landed, and everyone else survived. That's why I absolutely hate that seat :(
Mind you, the ATR-42 is a far inferior aircraft to the Dash 8.

Actaully its Ar Canada regulations to "tap the brakes" before retracting gear. Dont know why this pilot didnt.
