This song sounds EXACTLY like a 90s anime OP song. Seriously, this song could have come out in 1996 and not been out of place at all. This is what was so awesome about Slayers Revolution - it was like a relic from the 90s unearthed in 2008.

I watched it through... and I felt that the anime was good! I mean it's not as good as Slayers and Slayers NEXT, but it was still good :) Trademark slapstick humour, funny sidequests, good buildup to climax, and the usual slayers theme of don't judge the story from the first few episodes... as everything happens for a reason at the end :D Love how the plot unravels. But though, they could use a different bad guy! It seems like they ran out of ideas. How about lei magnus or luke?

I've watched a few episodes of Revolution it lost that awesomeness that Slayers had. The animation change is lame. It looks like a bunch of fan art that was poorly vectored. That's just my opinion. Then again I'm a man of the classics, so take it with a grain of salt if you will.

Yeah I really like the older anime styles like BGC, Slayers, Gundam(prior to seed and 00) The list could go on but I think you get the jist. These days most anime has similar art to each other or lame plots. Hell even dubbing is getting worse; there are some exceptions though.

I think the old Slayers series is outstanding, but the new one is not as good. It's still ok (aside from the hideous creature at 1:08. I think this kind of robs the special flavour the old Slayers had. It makes Slayers look like a typical "Digimonlike Anime".) I don't know why they're using new graphics now, the old graphics did an awesome job in making the series kind of like "seriocomedy". Please, don't judge my opinion too harshly.

I know animation has changed quite a bit in the last few years, but it looks like it has influence from other animes, and that mostly-masked guy looks straight out of Naruto, which is unfortunate.

I look forward to the extended storyline and new adventures, etc, but that off animation will be distracting!

And according to his fansite on yahoo groups- Funimation are retaining the Central Park Media cast.

Which means Lisa will reprise her role as Lina, Veronica is back as Amelia, Eric returns as Gourry, and the man- Crispin will voice Zel again.

On Wikipedia it says FUNimation managed to reunite most of the original Central Park Media cast for the English dub of the new season. However, Michael Sinterniklaas will replace David Moo as Xellos. So basically the same thing when they did the Tenchi Muyo! OVA 3 except they replaced Ryoko's voice actor.
