Good performance. I've seen the group many times (yes, I saw the original lineup 3 times), and they were never same after Kendall Jones and Chris Dowd left. I like the new line up, but they'll never be as good as the original line up....
@moistie I'm with you moistie...I saw them in early 93 myself, followed by the original line up of A.I.C, then Primus. Fishbone ranks right up there with Bad Brains where live energy is concerned! peace!
Didn't their drummer used to play with his back to the audience? They opened for 311 here in Atlanta about 11-12 years ago and I distinctly remember him playing backwards...and thinking it was the coolest thing ever for some reason. lol
@skrapdiggy Yes Fish Fisher their original drummer did for a certain period of time play with his back to the audience. I think it had something to do with some sort of social anxiety... felt more comfortable playing that way.
First two times I saw them it was with Fisher still playing drums and both times he played facing away from the audience.
Yo, i understand that it's blasphemy to say that anyone is better than freddie mercury....but angelo moore is up there, dude. maybe not "the" best frontman of all time......but i'm just saying, if mercury were alive, he'd say "angelo moore is amazing"
I saw them at the Culture Room in Ft Lauderdale Wednesday night. Met Angelo and had quite a nice conversation with him. Nice dude. I think he was loaded on some strong narcotic though lol
I saw Fishbone last Friday at Showcase Live at Patriot Place in Foxboro, MA. My dad and I talked to Angelo before his set. Then, I shook his hand after his set. I agree with you Jax, he was high on something but, it did not affect his performance one bit. He even jumped up on stage with The English Beat during their encore. All and all, it was an unbelieveable show!!!!!

I can honestly say that discovering Fishbone changed my life. Whenever the weather in NE Ohio changes from the crap and sludge of winter to the thaw of spring, it puts me in an "Everyday Sunshine" kind of mood.

Caught them on the club circuit in Phoenix in the mid 80s.They're STILL technically excellent and the performance is just great!

I saw Fishbone on the Reality of my Surroundings Tour in '92. It's still the best live I've ever been to.

I don't know if any frontman today has more energy or gives more to his audience than Angelo Moore. Legit. Dude goes 200% in his shows!

I just saw them last night opening the Then English Beat. Never had seen them or payed attention to their music.
My God!!!! This band is AMAZING!!!!!! Angelo the lead singer...what a GREAT performer....one of the best I have EVER seen!!!
