2) hes not exactly like the parts he plays. if you can't see past the looks and the voice to what he's actually conveying, and realize the spectrum of expression in the subtleties of their actions (gervais and bateman both are masters of body language), then you deserve 7 thumbs down. Boom.

Opinions aside, Gervais is the "bigger" actor/director in the sense of popularity, Bateman having won one Golden Globe while Gervais has won three Golden Globes, two Emmy's and a whole range of other awards.
