Yeah, sounds great. It isn't how I played that part but what you do is very passable and easier for beginners. Sound is spot on.

Sadly no I didn't play on the original. I was 12 at the time. I did play in ELO tribute band Wishful Thinking for 10 years. I listened to that vocoder part for many hours picking out them notes - it isn't radically different here, very passable, I'm certainly not criticising. I might post a video of how I did it soon. But my capture card is sucking large at the moment.
