Hate to be simple, but he was very nice and pleasant. Thankfully, he never came off as arrogant to me, everyone I knew wished him success once the rest of the world knew about him. Like when the solo albums came out, that was really cool, then the David Lee Roth gig. Good times.

I didn't have the heart to go to a party for him when he first got the diagnosis. A lot of his friends got together to wish him well and I didn't want to get in the way of his close friends/family.
