I totally agree with MANALOC1 putting the dog in the crate the dog sees it as a punishment and will not associate it with going to the bathroom. You are conditioning your dog to being locked up! especially as a puppy. This is horrible advice!

once again! wrong! yes the dog should eat and then go outide but its the owners job to walk the puppy, walking increases the urge to have to go poopie! if your dog doesnt go then let him out for 3 or 4 mins say crate so the dog doesnt associate going outside with the crate, if each time you go out and the dog doesnt go you bring him back in and crate him he is not going to want to go outside. if you have questions please contact me or another trainer i would not recomend this one!
