WOW! This sure brings back memories! I remember them like it was yesterday. But I was drunk yesterday...maybe it was the day before yesterday. I'm confused. Where's Red fisher ? I was searching for ol red...
As I sit here laughing & reminiscing about the good old days, I remember taping the S&S show on a cassette recorder (no VCR in those days for me).I still have the audio recording, poor quality & all. I was wondering if you could track down the performance by Ron Neilson (sp), as he did the Newfie Disco. I would love to be able to show it to my husband after all these years. I believe Morag sang Into The Mystic in that episode. Thanks for posting these videos, you have made my day!
This. Is. Blowing. My. Mind. I'm a huge fan of RG, never seen any of the Smiths before. Weird & funny hearing Steve sing. Still, I'd take a bullet for the guy.
I wish somebody could find the episode/skit where they did a song (sounded like a Beach Boys song or something) where they were dancing around on a "Lada" car singing about "goin' for a spin around the communist bloc!" as it was disintegrating under them. That was a seriously hilarious skit. Anybody got a recording of that one to post? I haven't seen that one in 25 years or more.
Ah, "Lada Love". That was from The Comedy Mill, the show Steve and Morag did after S&S ended, where they were joined with Mag Ruffman, Linda Kash and Peter Keleghan. Comedy Mill also aired on TV Land Canada. I'll try and find that song to post here.
This is from Ken from Ontario..I have been a Red Green fan for a long time and also do impressions of him. I had never seen the Smith & Smith show before, but it was very interesting to see your movie clip. Funny song and a treat to see Steve Smith in something different than his Red Green attire. Thanks for putting it on.
Oh, THANK YOU for telling us the start and stop date of production. I kind of wondered that. A segment of 'The Mailbox' had a viewer question asking S&S how long have they been married. Steve said 15 years. They were married in 1966. So it was 1981 that episode.
I watched Smith & Smith, Me & Max, Smith & Smith's Comedy Smith, and Red Green, but Smith & Smith was the best. It's great to see Steve Smith without that unkempt beard, and hear Steve and Morag sing again. Speaking of low-budget, I loved the sketches when they just sat in someone's basement, showed old slides and made amusing remarks.
you like this huh mochrie...do you also fancy the show 'me and max'?@petad07 being from the u.s,now you must have seen at all huh
