no but nexus has way to many rules and may not like the fact that it has the doom 3 sounds but at f3underground they wont have a issue with and some one might be able to give you the actual doom 3 plasma gun model.
So the plasma gun's inaccurate, huh? I would think it would do great damage but be short-ranged due to the magnetic containment field shorting out beyond a certain distance.
Yea :p , since the Doom 3 version is the final product of the plasma gun series, it had no recoil at all. But implementing this into Fallout 3 would create an overpowered weapon.
My idea on this gun is that it would be effective till medium range, after a certain range the plasma particle starts to "split" making it less effective in longer range.
But for the moment I'm kinda working on the damage of the gun and also the proper "story line" how this gun gets into the Fallout 3 universe. ^^
Try this: "A remnant of a government black project into exotic weaponry, this prototype has been restored to working order and is ready to spit burning blue death at your enemies."
If you could make a bunch of sidequests to fetch, steal, or loot the parts to make the gun work, that'd be nice too.
I like the idea of an underground movement that makes these weapons and collecting parts for the gun. Altough i'm starting with the GECK, making new quests and configuring nps's will be a new field for me to explore :)

aww, i was so hopeing for the the original plasma gun SFX, from Doom 1 / 2. It still pretty cool.

Well, i'm quite new with GECK, i'm not ready yet to edit models/sprites since I lack the experience.
But yea, the classic doom sprites + gun would be more "old-school" :p

Lowering the amount of ammo per mag (maybe to 30-ish) and fire rate will make it more balanced. So far, it's pretty good though.
