  • What a wonderful piece of film from my home town.

My sister and father still live in Gateshead (Mother passed away in 2009) but I moved to Wakefield in 1986, and sis had her wedding reception at the Springfield Hotel on the Dryden Road junction, which is now knocked down.

  • @Podsnapperymee.............Video Starts off On Durham Road, Gateshead, England. The Angel of the North is about 100 metres directly behind. If you go on google maps and type in address I just mentioned you will be able to go through the Street View and this way you will be able to pan around 360 degrees. (Bet you already done that, sorry I,m a year late with this.)

  • I drive around Gateshead and Newcastle for a living!!

I have been driving around Gateshead and Newcastle shooting video in HD 720p.

I will edit some of my clips to make a 10 minute video then I will upload on this site.

If you want to see my videos so far just click on my name above. I will post my video soon.

  • Gateshead was very rough and deprived till late 1970's, since then it has improved dramatically.

My dad was manager of the shop currys there in a very deprived part of it and there were regular raids and arsene attacks and at the time it was simmilar to glasgow but now it is generally fine.

I live in york but always enjoy a visit down to newcastle.
