His job was to charm her then stab her in the back. Both metaphorically and physically. His only intension was to bring out her vulnerablilty so he could use it against her. If anything he was curious about her past as it may come to his advantage later. He kept the bare minimum to make his life easier. He doesn't care for her at all.
