Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchel (Donkey Kong world record holders) may think that using a keyboard to play Donkey Kong is blasphemous, but people who play on MAME with a keyboard may think that the stick is harder to use. It all comes down to preference. I use a stick, so I'm more partial to it, but you can't knock gamepad players purely because they use a controller.
