same thing just happened to my '01 gt. i cant tell from your video, but mine only knocks while under load (hitting the throttle) when cold but when i warms up it does it all the time. did yours do this too? im just trying to diagnose it. im still making payments on it and i cant even drive it

my cousin had a 99 4.6L GT he baught it brand new. then it started to knock after it had only 2000 miles! Yet the ford dealer refused to cover it under warrnty because he went to the track the day it started. long story short we had the motor apart to find that the #7 rod end cap was way too loose. he filed a lawsuite & got $30,000. go figure.
My car sounds pretty much exactly the same (vids posted on my profile) I have bought an MMR600 shortblock. Where you able to reuse the heads? Im hoping to be able to swap everyone over onto the new shortblock.
we actually got lucky and it was only one spun bearing(#8). the only thing we had to replace were the bearings, crank, and bolts. it didn't affect the heads at all so you should be able to swap. hope that helps.

I've got the same noise at about 2500-3000rpm. I saw the oil needle jump up and down a few days and I know I was getting low on oil. Turns out I was 2+ quarts low. Dumb mistake! Have you fixed it?
How much did it end up costing you to fix this?? mine does the same thing

once its knocking, it only gets worse. you should have kept up with oil levels before it happened. lesson learned.

well we actually pulled this engine apart and it ended up being one(can you believe it!!)spun bearing(#8). yours could just be the beginning. :(

fixed a while back. took about for days total time. pretty simple if you know how to work on engines. :)
