  • This is such an awesome arrangement...im experienced enough to barre well but its the first song ive tried with chords where you have to barre with your ring finger. Any advice for barring with your ring finger???

  • Wow! Great skill. Thanks for the lesson.

  • very nice and if left hand thumb is in use first chords sound good both a and c section with open b.

  • Very nice. If some are so befuddled, even when the chords are spoon fed to themm there is always the Buckethead / Morello stuff.

  • Very nicely laid out. Thanks! As for the complainers, just give them back their ticket price and send them off. Sheesh. It's just about impossible to see what Chet did so this is GREAT!

  • fantastic playing.

  • @ignace52jx BTW i am considered legally blind with my vision problem of retinitis pigmentosia. I have very limited vision. The central vision is fair but the periphial is gone. Even though my eyes are that bad i still see the video clearly enough to see my hands. Did my hand slip out of view for a few seconds? Then i am sorry. I know it might be easier for some of you if i had big jumbo position markers (dots) on the fretboard but this guitar does not have them. Sorry.

  • @ignace52jx When i get time i will do another one just for you.

  • @ignace52jx I can see everything just fine in the video. No idea what your complaining about. If you are a beginner i don't recommend this piece. Try Edelweiss or something.

  • Wonderful playing - i love this very much.

  • Nice job Ray...Just glancing at your video at work and can't wait to jump on this at home. Chet did a fantastic rendition of this beautiful song and your video is much appreciated.

  • your camera is kinda far away

  • am determined to learn this! tried looking for a similar tutorial to la vie en rose but no joy so sandman it is! thanks in advance

  • do you know where i can learn how to play chords? because i consider myself a pretty good guitar player, buuuuut never learned how to play chords :/.....pretty sad yeah but oh well just send me some help

  • @rangerpkin8 Well, there are plenty chord books out there. Even on you tube people will demonstrated for you. Plenty of resources!!

  • @rangerpkin8 - My Dad bought me a chord book that showed the chords and chord progression as well as what fingers to use on each string - should be able to get one from any good music store. And then practice until you have blisters!

  • great lesson, maybe next time come a bit closer

  • nice sound. great playing.

  • i would love to play this sog, but i cant play finger style that good, any tips?

  • Your a great teacher Ive been watching your video for the last week have the 1st and 2nd parts down long way to go . I hope you plan on putting out more videos for us finger picker,

  • @frankconte2 Thank you very much. I will put more videos out on fingerpicking sunce they seem to be going over well.

    Musically Yours,

    Ray

  • Yes, i did learn it from the book, at least 50% of it. The rest was watching other players play it. Glad you like it!!

    Ray

  • awesome version - best lesson I have seen on u tube. I m gonna try and learn it from you. Thanx so much, Great teaching... did you learn it from the book you mentioned?

  • Had the first 42 seconds on repeat for a good long while. Absolutely masterful. I am not a guitarist myself, but I followed along for a while.

Can't quite wrap my head around your "upload" section on your channel page, it doesn't order by date properly in my browser. Could be a local problem though! :)
