In a different version of this episode, he ran around naked in a circle laughing for a whole 10 seconds or so, much longer. Very weird and unexpected. xD

I wish the brother had more purpose in the story, though. He just turns into a deer, leads the king to his sister, wanders around outside for years, and turns back when everything's done. :P

@wizardwarrior713 The story is a bit crammed. Lol. The original version of this was "The White Hind", which was a similar story, which the same plot, except the brother was turned into a rare white deer. He led the king on many chases before he accidently led him to his sister, and I think he had a bigger part there, as well...I'll double check. ^^

In the story I read the witch sent her own daughter disguised as the queen and when the king found his wife, the witch was killed and the evil daughter was the one to wander off in the forest and was killed by the wild animals there.

They used to show this on nickelodeon back in the day; back when they actually had something worth showing, like The Lost City of Gold, The Little Koala, The Noozles, Mapletown, David the Gnome, The Littl' Bits, Maya the Bee, etc.

@CrystalKabuto Her name is Rebecca Forstadt. She's done a lot of stuff over the years, but I best remember her as Patty Rabbit in Mapletown as well as Lynn Maye in Robotech.

@AceDT311 That's because they are based on the original Grimm Brother's Collection. Fairy Tales were originally very dark and gruesome

the original story: The Queen gets tossed out the window and killed. Witch disguises her ugly biological daughter as the queen. Queens spirit visits baby, king brings her back to life somehow. The imposter queen gets cast in the woods and torn apart by wild animals. The witch gets executed by a witch burning.
