I think that those are not wrinkles that appear, but rather gills on Carla's neck that magically appear when she is no longer able to breathe through her mouth, or her smashed nose.

Kendahl89...I don't think Carla quite touches his hand. I think as Stella is clearly having or making fun of Phillip, Carla wants to show Stella her fun side and decides to get in on the game. I think Stella's look might be a bit of shock, since she's never seen this side to Carla before, but once Stella knows that Carla is up for a bit of fun, she comes out with the line about Carla running the biggest monkey circus in the area :-))

I think that ever-cute, "grand-entrance demanding Sarah" had cleverly remained hidden from view in the hallway, reached in, grabbed the doorknob, shut the door ever so quietly, counted to 10, then flung it open drawing all eyes towards her to break the magic of Stella's embrace. What an amazing sleight of hand! It's amazing that she was so skilled at pulling that trick from her sleeve considering her CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME!

Carla's whip is one of those sleek, collapsible, compact whips...so with the mere touch of a button it quickly folds up neatly in her hand to be tucked away in her back pocket waiting to be whipped out in a moment's notice. A collapsible, compact pick feather is stored in the other back pocket. I'd say Carla's dexterity of grabbing Stella's lapels to pull Stella into her for the kiss was her greatest sleight of hand. For a moment, Stella fell under this illusionist's magical spell, just like us!

Never..01 and Caroly1202, just to clarify that the 'whole upstairs/downstairs' thing is a british thing and not at all Irish. As it is, all us Irish are so poor that we can only afford bungalows, and the only 'upstairs' we refer to is to the thinking that goes on in our heads and the 'downstairs' is for dancing (i.e. our feet) :-)

Never..01, Guinness is an Irish dry stout...of which there will be much drunk of come Tuesday, as it's St. Patrick's day in Ireland. So, our patience is getting tested to the max with het pace of this story, but we should enjoy it while it lasts. Once they are a genuine couple, the won't be simply happe for long. Problems will rise. Somebody will be kidnapped or there will be misunderstandings or accidents, or a mysterious person will sabotage their love or something else.
