"Kosovo" is a parody of the Beach Boys hit song "Kokomo". It was produced in 1999 by Seattle radio DJ Bob Rivers. The song harshly criticises US involvement in the Kosovo War:
In May 2005 a group of Norwegian peacekeepers in Kosovo parodied the music video for "Kokomo," using Rivers' song with their own hand-held video camera footage.
hate to say this, but its not American soldiers. if i recall its polish soliders is what i was told. kick ass vid though, and yes, it is the soldiers singing
Very cleverly done. It took some talent to put this together, and makem it work so well to the Beach Boys tune. Congrats, & hope you'll make more videos of this nature. To those who do not like this video, hope you'll learn to stop being so uptight, and relax and enjoy it for what it is--a great parody. War is ugly,& scary, sometimes you need a break to un-wind, to poke fun at yourselves or tease your comrades, to just remember how to laugh. If you haven't lived it, don't judge it.
