@solracnarudb I use the Carvin V3 for all hi-gain sounds to play riffs only. No pedal here.However, I use my Carvin V3 crunch tone along with a Digitech Bad Monkey pedal in front of the amp to boost the crunch channel. All FX come from My TC G System or Cubase VST plugins
- Yes it's a great guitar to play any "right-to-face" music such as rock, metal, progressive metal, djent, death metal, so forth...
- I think is not really suitable play blues even though you can play some nice bluesy licks. Need to change pickup as the stock PU's doesn't sound vintage imo
@onfire4000 Good question! You have probably noticed that I use Ibanez guitars mostly.
However, I feel it's time to switch to another guitar manufacturer such as Schecter to give my music a new direction and to play music with a new attitude. That's all about a feeling I have since I own this Omen Extreme 6 guitar. So, I think that this guitar will become my 2nd guitar in the near future. And I plan to use a Hellraiser or Damien guitar as my 1st instrument.
@JulienCarayon how is the acoustic sound /sustain? i'd put new pickups in if i'd buy that guitar, so i'd like to know if it's a good modding base. it's a wonderfull looking guitar and good woods for the price, and on paper it seems to be perfect for my needs.
@givemeajackson Hi! The sustain is pretty good. It's a very good modding base, even though the finish is not 100% perfect (e.g such as some fretboard Inlay is a bit off-center) Don't wait any longer, go get one ! ;-)
excellent and what pedals do u use for this video? sounds great too i love this guitar

how much did you paid for it? in a scale from 1 to 10 how much would you rate it?
onfire4000 1 month ago
@onfire4000
-around 350euros as long as I can remember.
-I would rate this guitar 8 out of 10:
Pros: Great neck, nice stock pickups, push/pull switch, looks sexy :D
Cons: There are some small trace of black Permanent marker on the fretboard around a couple of inlays.

@JulienCarayon it is better for metal style? or it works good with blues and other types of rock too?

@JulienCarayon I forgot to ask, do you consider this guitar to be a 1st guitar or a more advanced one? like a 2nd perhaps?

I own this guitar as well. It's a beast. The stock pickups are just amazing, best stock ones I've ever owned.
