Lots of YouTube watchers enjoy the news opens, but no newsroom to my knowledge has ever adequately solved the problem of "how do you start the newscast?". Big-budget ones run too long; attempts to "sneak on the air" are too subtle. How many opens are truly memorable?
Thank you for uploading this. I remember WBIR's in-house graphics from 1995. They were nice. I also love WBIR's usage of "Newsmark" by 615 Music. The opening cut is my favorite.
Snow time is an exciting time in East Tennessee. At the time of this newscast, I believe Knox County had three snowplows.
