What i dont understand: This guy is one of the richest guys, but on a personal level he doesn't consume more than his neigbour, he is not initiating new buisneses and he cant take his wealth after his death. So what does this "wealth" mean for him then? All he does is allocating money most efficiently amoung existing buisneses. This accumulates allot of wealth, but to what means? The ultimate means will be the foundation thats gets to spend the wealth, but then he won't have any control nomore.

@ypey1: Ultimately money is a claim on Human Labor. Everything that money can buy is created by human labor. If money is kept in responsible hands then businesses will perhaps run more efficiently? How old do you think Warren Buffet is? He won't have enough years to consume all that wealth, unless he starts burning his dollars. He has already made public statements that his Total wealth will not be passed on to his children, but mostly to charity organizations

I understand the argument that one gains his wealth from others in society. However, the economy, in that sense, is not a zero sum game. You gain wealth by producing a good or service that your fellow man wants. So, there is no debt to be settled. Buffett is a kind, highly intelligent and generous man indeed, but I just don't understand the argument that he makes. (I am not promoting greed or egoism, btw.)

You only have so many Years to play it... Time IS money... play it wisely... Will you be the one who spends your Time? or will you sell it cheap to someone else?...
