  • your a bucket short on every one of them trucks! still room on the headbord for more muck!

  • @1700mexico You sir are.... CORRECT!

  • @vantagetes Any chance of a start?

  • good operator .

I'm working on an excavator HITACHI 870 LCR 85.5 ton. This competitor of the CAT 385

I wonder what the difference between these two degers? That's a big difference in prices.

Thank you will share with us .

  • @Alifaish Actually the price difference between an 870 and 390 Cat is pretty minimal. Both companies price the machines pretty competitively. As for differences I (Alex) have found that the larger Deere hoes I have tried tend to be slower than the 385. This could be just a tuning problem though as I have run 1 850 that would definately keep pace with any 385 I have run.

  • Very slow operator plus moving the track motors while digging a big no no.

My boss would have sacked him on the spot for moving the tracks while digging.

  • @johntekuiti You realize this is a 385 and not a mini dig right? If you think you can find faster load counts for a 60+ ton rock truck in unshot rock feel free to show me where the video is hiding. An ME requires a lot of moving to stay in the power and fast cycle zone of the stick. That's a 3.4m stick so I have to back up for the power to ram the 8yd bucket through the top layer then walk forward to reach the bottom of the cut. Tracking while booming down recycles hydraulic power.

  • do you guys have radios in the machines?

  • @rob210100 If by radios you mean two ways; no.

  • @vantagetes no as in music radios lol

  • @rob210100 Yes we do, we generally turn the radio off for videos just to keep from infringing on music copyrights in videos, and because people seem to think I (Alex) have poor taste in music.

  • @vantagetes lol i hoped you had some tunes and those people complaining most likely are office chair operators

  • is this machine suffering from pin wear, stick seems to wobble a bit with a full load

  • Nice Video.

  • @gdogdieseldually Well then in true DDnB spirit... FUCK YOU..ahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @vantagetes shut your weard 4 eyed ass up

  • Did the driver sulk when you spoke to him ?

  • 5 people made him wait

  • Don't make me wait...Ever...I remember that from the first video of yours I ever watched about loading the wiggle wagons......

  • 100% less Burnout! Ha ha ah ..Thats because he took his toys and went home to survey the stock!

  • @88public your just like every other boner behind the keyboard. Anyone that says "driver" is not a operator

  • @sixohkid lol exactly, I'm an operator but really it's not a hard job to get into, After I got my RTW Endorsements and some onsite training it only took me couple months before I had a job operating a 13 tonne Hitachi EX135, I don't see the point in some kids on here pretending to be an operator, just go and try and get a job as one and stop pretending.

  • If I must working on the Christmas day, I could not be much kind too... :|

  • HEY i no what you mean with the trucks i have to put up with them every day great loading take no shit

  • the best excavator vids on youtube greeting from HUNGARY !!

  • It sucks when the people around you don't understand, or care enough to know that when your not moving material you're not making money. Whatever task you're performing you need to be productive. It's easier to convey that point when you're the boss though.I was recently installing storm drainage, and the loader operator couldn't keep the stone box full, the laborers weren't preparing for the next length of pipe while I was digging, I was stopped all the time, and it was enough to make me sick.

  • What does the "LME" stand for?

  • @cmoneynika Long undercarriage, Mass Excavator

  • I see your truck drivers are as smart as ours. I load 763 trucks with a conveyor all the time and those guys fall asleep play video games and what not why not focus on the task at hand and do the job. Production is what matters. When I was running a hoe I hated some of our truck drivers. As for videos I'd get fired I'm not even suppose to have my phone out here.

  • @bigdan45322 What's a 763?

  • @alco424 A 773 that got fat fingered.

  • Internet arm chair operator battles on Christmas, woo!

  • @clovakid I love window lickers! The funny part is I get paid every time he comes back.

  • @vantagetes The add's aren't displayed on cell phones, no adds no pay. And if they do there are app's to remove the add's.

  • No Jason I'm an Operator and I'll say it again, Come on to Ft McMurray and we'll see what you can drive dude.... We start Operator's off in 385's and then move then up to Heavy Iron...

  • @88pubic Doesn't mean any of them can operate, I've seen the special ed programs that are run up there.

  • @88pubic you need 89 to reach puberty.

  • Nice operating and filming- as allways, merry christmas(-:

    Take care

    Alexander

  • The only thing you could back up Jason is a toilet....

  • @88pubic I'll I'm hearing is jealousy right now.

  • @vantagetes Jealous of you Jason, Go and get a life.... Sad little man....

  • @88pubic We're still waiting for your video chief.

  • Dude your a shit operator.... And you have no skill, your the retard... I could drive you into the ground, Why don't you head up to Ft McMurray were the big boy's go to play, that is if we'll have you....

  • @88pubic Oh that's rich, you're probably a labourer or truckie. Once again feel free to post a video of you "driving" better than me, until then you can keep your arm chair operator comments to yourself.

  • @88pubic Who do you work for then? It's winter we have time to kill. Post up which company you work for and we'll both apply (Alex and Jason).

  • @vantagetes is it okay to hit the cab with dirt on offroad dump trucks?

  • @Dodgeoffroadfreak Are you talking about the head board or the actual cab itself? When loading with an ME setup you're always going to have bucket spillage (typically the light sand like material as it leaks between teeth and over edges) so offroad trucks have headboards to catch any roll off, and a kicker board to deflect it away from the cab. If you are actually hitting the cab itself then there's a problem.

  • @vantagetes Nah I mean it looked like you were hitting the windows on the side a little bit. Another question, do you prefer working for big or small construction companies? Pros/cons

  • @vantagetes go back to canada eh

  • You spill more around the truck than you do getting into the truck, "Don't make me wait ever"... If it was my 385 LME you'd be waiting on a job dude, My 12 year old nephew drive's better than you....

  • @88pubic It's a rock truck not a chromed up end dump that belongs in a truck show. If you're not losing material off the sides of your bucket with a mass excavation setup your bucket isn't full enough! Youtube is full of retarded wanna be operators like you and my response will always be the same. You think you can do better; this is youtube. Post a video. I have lots to back my skills up, what do you have?

  • @88pubic wow you sir are a fucking retard.

  • I have an 18 foot wide bucket and have to load over side all the time on 777 belly dumps. If those truck drivers dont chase my bucket in and haul ass every load it adds up. 30 seconds for 50 loads is twenty five minutes and i load em up in 3.40 minutes thats alot of loads lost in a ten hour shift and its my ass... I pissed off at truck drivers when i know they know better.

  • Cool Video, but i prefer the ones where you talk about shit !! :)

  • What's the lift capacity on the 385? I have only used small equipment like my dads 40b backhoe and its amazing the power a tractor this size has.

  • It's understandable its about performance move the dirt fast so you can be competitive when you bid the job.

  • i get the dont make me wait bit, but you spent more time talking to him than waiting,to me its the sort of thing thats said before or after your shift

  • @swn02 Ah but taking the few second to talk to him insured it didn't happen again during the shift, which saved minutes and hundreds of dollars. If it's a one time thing I wont bother stopping and talking as it's not worth it, but when it's becoming a habit and it's going to cost more time not saying anything...

  • @vantagetes agree with that

  • ahh Jason it never gets old watching you do what you do best...running a hoe like picasso and keeping them slacking drivers in line!!! great job keep up the good work and cant wait to see whats in store for next year

  • I don't think it's the point of exactly how much was lost in that time he was waiting. If that was the concern he technically spent more time telling him not to make him wait then he waited. It's just the fact that now the guy knows and if not its fired time. Also after so many times in one day waiting just that little bit will add up to the load time of a truck when such a big hoe is loading in so few passes. Keep up the good informing vids!

  • What a jerk

    I love it

    Great job

  • Just curious how much money and production was lost during that whole 10 seconds the guy made you wait.

  • @s2kirl don't understand for that amount of time either

  • @erifdlog Think of it this way, say you wait for 10 seconds every couple rounds. That could add up to 3 minutes in a day. If you work say... 250 days a year thats 450 minutes, which is what? 7.5hrs over the course or a year? How many trucks can you load in 7.5hrs?

  • @vantagetes I see. Just not use to that here where we work. Whatever gets done in a day and whatever don't can get finished tomorrow. ttyl

  • @erifdlog One is a small amount of money. If done every load it adds up quickly. For example in an 80 load day that's 800 seconds which works out to 13 minutes and 20 seconds which broken down to say and average load time of 2 minutes (my average for the larger trucks is actually less than that) is 7 more loads he could of had, not to mention it's probably causing other trucks to bunch up causing even more lost production. Half a second every cycle can add up to thousands of dollars a shift!

  • @s2kirl Approximately $20 every time, which is $1600 in a 80 load day.

  • @vantagetes Fair enough,You just came across a bit heavy the way you put it to him plus at the end of the video there wasn`t a truck to be seen...Anyway point taken.

  • @s2kirl I never yell and scream, throw rocks or bang their trucks, in return when I have something important to tell them I keep it short and sweet. I talked to him at break time and explained it further to him and included a thank you for listening but during shift it's time to move dirt! There were 2 trucks that went down so it was even more important for the drivers to try to keep downtime to a minimum.

  • I get having drivers 'be there', when its time to get loaded, but that guy waiting right behind the truck before him? Shouldn't the other guy get yelled at for being late? Or was he lapping the other 773?

  • @JimBruce42 Erm what? The only issue is that he sat there waiting for the first truck to get loaded, then never pulled up in time and I had to wait for him. If you are wondering why the trucks show up at random times it's because there are two loading tools, and two different dump zones depending on how the material breaks up when we dig it.

  • @vantagetes Yeah on re-watching I caught the lapse. Sorry when I watched it the first time (and posted) I was more focused on my boy than it. Had I just re watched it, or proof-read my reply I would have avoided the confusion. I know all too well the feeling of waiting on trucks. Waiting for someone to pull up is more aggravating sometimes than waiting for trucks to return.

  • This is what we want...385 action..... gr8 stuff

  • Piss on 'em, I like the funnay yall bring, and the lesson in efficient loading technique, for those of us watching to pick up subtle techniques to increase our productivity level,we appreciate this kind of dialogue.

  • i hate the lme...........no hate it full but more 50%........well only because its got a shit load of potecial with bringin up rocks and them hurtalin at the cab....fer instence ur winchield hahahaha merry christmas from BCM!!!!!!!!! u naughty suns of bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • smooth operating.. keep them comming

  • whats up with the "dont make me wait..ever" ???

  • @MyanmesKenny19 hehe, its hurry the fuck up, we are loosing money here;-)

  • @sisutrucks ahhh i see haha

  • @MyanmesKenny19 i would have flipped him the bird in return, but thats just me;-)

  • @sisutrucks I save the larger rocks for truckies who forget that not only do they have to come back every time, but then they have to hold still for me ;) I can feather it in so you barely know you're getting loaded or I can bounce you off the roof. Your call!

  • @MyanmesKenny19 Time is money. Just to make sure the driver is alert i guess :)

  • @MyanmesKenny19 dudes killing production. those trucks need to be running dirt constantly. If would have said the same thing as Jason probably not as nice though

  • @MyanmesKenny19 baisicalley he was telling him as soon as that truck in front moves forward u need to be under me bucket like fucking now , understand now?

  • @MyanmesKenny19 Ya just confirms that you are truly an asshole man.Quote by you " It's winter we have time to kill. : and here you are bitching at someone for making you wait 2 sec. I would of gotten out of the truck and beat your ass right there.

  • @KartAnimal29 Winter is a slow time of year. You could have got out of the truck and done something, but you also have to remember the guy in the hoe was a foreman and you're a truck driver which puts you a lot lower on the chain of command. Our companies are in the business of making money. You make them money you might get paid a little more, get a chance to be in the hoe or become a foreman one day. This is the kind of stuff that sets the men apart from the hoys.

  • @vantagetes I am a foremen where I work and I would never talk to another employe like that. All it's going to do is piss them off more and there production goes down.

  • @KartAnimal29 If a quick talk like that is gonna get them all pissy and hurt their feelings... then they are in the wrong industry. One of my first jobs out of college (Burnout) was with the hydro company. The foreman treated me like shit for almost 2yrs, called me names and made fun of me. He made me become a better hoe operator in a hurry and I still have a lot of respect for that old guy. It was his way and it worked. I don't go to the extreme he did, but we're not running a daycare.

  • @KartAnimal29 I (Burnout) personally own my own iron. If I was to see someone in my organization making me a little extra money and watching out for my bottom line I'll take care of him come end of the year. The people that generally bitch about this stuff are the people that don't care and will be working this "job" their entire life. While people like us make it into a "career" and reap the benefits.

  • @KartAnimal29 yeahhh...i never said that, so stop getting your panties up in a bunch

  • @MyanmesKenny19 I meant that too vantagetes not you.

  • 1 word, nothing else ---> AWESOME

  • Did you and Burnout have a falling out?

  • @1toomanyhobbies Of course not, he actually uploaded this one. He was referring to the fact that it was an in cab instead of the series we shot with him holding the camera outside.

  • @vantagetes Your window is cracked.

  • @xXThermobaricXx What!? Where? I can't see anything due to this large crack in the window...

  • Another great video!
