Not a fan boy, srry for bitching like this, but it sucks dat xbox ppl aint getn 2 play as Solid Snake. glad 2 see the Metal Gear community expand if it becomes succesful in xbox. but i doubt Rising is going 2 have any online compared 2 this MGO. bcuz da gameplay is based off of snake's tactics, as in da whole wall cover, prone/play dead lay,& his crouching-walk. IF any online, Rising is gonna be a ballerina fest considring Raiden's latest moves. like da somersaults &shit. cool,but not snake cool
I envy 360 users who will see an updated, funner, more action-paced MGO which will receive new shiny stuff, potential ninja gameplay, potentially better stealth gimmicks, and basically a fresh style. MGO was a great concept when it was born, now all of its flesh has withered and died away with a skeleton of SURVIVAL and "scrubs" and "noobs" and "praos" and "Foxhounds" and MS-13 gangsters.
@lordofzaptherapy, I think its just because the game is old property. They haven't made any significant updates in a long time, they maintain SURVIVAL and TOURNAMENTS but it feels more like they trained a monkey to sit at a desk and program messages and whatnot. From what I hear, people who exploit the software (MAOlag, lagging, glitching, etc.) almost never actually get reprimanded for it. Inability to create rooms has remained unresolved. Plus they have all this new stuff coming out.

For some reason, Rising is supposedly a 360 exclusive, I'm not sure if that's true nor can I promise the future, but I don't remember reading it as a multi-platform. Kojima has waggled over to the 360, but I guess the game's reliance on the KINECT is what gives us the idea of controlling Raiden's flashier movements. I was telling MrYuu that while he says 360 people don't get this shitty online...
While they get a brand spanking new online game with cooler stuff, cooler objects, cooler concepts, and overall better everything most likely - or at least a chance of better things in the future. Raiden's fighting style accustoms more than Snake's, MGO basically takes every Old Snake could do and frames gameplay around him, while Rising Online gameplay will HOPEFULLY frame around what Cyborg Raiden could do in MGS4.
@Momentum139 fuck that. the best part about MGO was how tactical it could be when you worked as a team, the military pmc style customization, and the war-economy setting. If i wanted a bunch of guys running around with swords for multiplayer, i'd play dynasty warriors. or halo

If you use tactics and move slowly some level 17 runs in with an M4 and kills your entire team because he spends 8 hours straight practicing headshots.
@killersnake79 the exp system is diffrent from other games. For example, you are a level 15 and get 29 kills with 7 deaths (like yours) in total. Lets say about 52 exp. But, another player lvl 10 gets a better score than you. So thats why, you get a minus or in some exptreme cases double minus. Only because a lower level than you did better. How sad :/

GO just hit one million users the other day and Konami wants you to celebrate with them and they are supplying the beer, or at least the points. Konami is giving away in-game points between November 25th and December 9th. How many points you ask? 10,000 and an entry for a chance to win 100,000 points. All of these points can be used in the online store of course ;)
(sigh) This trailer is so great, and just like many others have said, many people don't work together. Whenever I play there are a few times in which some of my teammates actually respond like those in this trailer. It's a great game though.
a) the lvl/rank/GP system encourages players to not give a fuck about teamwork but to get in 1st to boost their stats
b) the "tactical" physics are too slow, like leaning against wall, it makes you very vulnerable. thats why ppl like me constantly move around box popping and running n gunning, makes it harder to die.
konami coulda done much better making this an enjoyable game. its still fun though :D i cant get my GP past 1865 "/- Unholy Smiley
lol thx i dont play mgo anymore for some reason mgo got old and boring 4 me so i retired. i started playing battlefield 1943 and bad company lol. if Konami gets rid of grade / lvl system or brings back the original MGO1 then ill come back :D

I know what you mean, but seeing that on MGO is as likely as LOVE expansion coming out, or Konami actually giving a crap about the MGO community and fixing any of the so-called bugs. Its basically a wastebin for people to lazy to go play Uncharted or Brotherhood or MAG, or anyone who can't wait for Twisted Metal. The leveling is jaded and playing is hard because higher-levels pressure the lower-levels out of games, there's abuse and all kinds of hell going on.

MGS4 actually has a point to the game, its challenging because you have to avoid dying AND being seen, unlike halo whos only point is running around killing people on the battlefield or whatever the fuck you xboxers call it

i know right! the old MGO (subsistence on ps2) was more of an open shooter. MGS is supposed to be a sneaking/tactical game. Everyone just shoot and runs out to do whatever they want. I bet you that those people who played the MGS4 story probably used and RPG for everything and always get caught. Im a sniper so i bought some camo so i can blend in good. Most snipers wear a red berret and they will stick out like a sore thumb.
i think its fine when they do what they want to but i dont like it taht theyre only goal is to rank up or get as many scores as possible...they should just wanna have fun ;D

i met two people on MGO. we formed a clan and its pretty easy to say that us 3 work like that.plus when one of them got Patriot of the week me and my other pal got used as bait :( inf ammo pwns. like some guy said before,teamwork is what makes MGO, a more funNER game at least.

Lol to be honest I'd take a ps3 over a 360 anyday why spend your money on a 360 when you can just play basically all of them plus more! plus free online plus mod the fuck out of them when they get old plus more I can think of like 2 games that are for 360 and not PC which is halo 3 and I am pretty sure Prey but who gives a shit about halo 3 honestly... lets jump 5349857435 feet into the air throw 3 frags and start blasting with my Battle riffle ...boring..PS3 ftw

the xbox and ps3 are pretty much in the same place, xboxers want MGS4 and LittleBigPlanet and Sony boys want Halo and GOW. the reason there are more xbox owners is because people care more about saving $200 then they do about more features and options.

on mgo there is a mode with 3 teams red, blue and snake with mark ii.
snakes team got only 2 players unlike other teams but they have to take 3 dogtags from the enemy soldiers in order to win the game. hope i helped :D

MGS4 actually has a point to the game, its challenging because you have to avoid dying AND being seen, unlike halo whos only point is running around killing people on the battlefield or whatever the fuck you xboxers call it

that sucks. lost my password and got it back even tho i didn't remember the secret question because the sent me e-mails and questions. go to konami portal and click on(forgot konami id) after a little bit of persistance im sure u'll get it back. i lost my konami password but not id and it took me 4 days to get it back so i kind of know how ur feeling. home u get this in time a gl. remember go to konami portal and im sure they'll help u, they got a great staff for this stuff

nah I never see ppl run around all guns blazing now and if I do its funny to kill them if they are opponents.
ALthough its still quite unorganised, teammates run into your traps most of the time even when your on SOP.

i know right! the old MGO (subsistence on ps2) was more of an open shooter. MGS is supposed to be a sneaking/tactical game. Everyone just shoot and runs out to do whatever they want. I bet you that those people who played the MGS4 story probably used and RPG for everything and always get caught. Im a sniper so i bought some camo so i can blend in good. Most snipers wear a red berret and they will stick out like a sore thumb.
