This guy is pretty good at playing in the style of Jimi. As an imitator, you could even say he is very good. But it is just an imitation. Hendrix created the sounds and moves out of his own original imagination. And that is what makes Hendrix a pure and true genius while others imitate out of admiration. My suggestion to this guy is that he slow down just a bit and really feel the depths of each and every note. That said, I think he is great!

The effects on Hendrix's studio recordings, like the phasers, were done after he recorded the guitar parts. All Hendrix used live was a wah pedal and a Big Muff. Seriously dude, I've been playing for 30 years. Even when I started there wasn't digital effects processors.

Everytime a person covers a song it's not to improve the song. It's a tribute to the creator. Which is a good think. Jimi would be proud of him. Covers is what keeps music alive. Withouth players like John Mayer, Steive Vai, SRV, Eric Clapton and Malmsteen. his song might have been forgotten through generations.
