  • thumbs up if u noticed the swedish chef has REAL hands!!

  • moobli di moobli = Champagne

  • Vcgvnvfnj

  • Wow, he falls more sharply than a barometer!

  • 0:15 :D

  • 0:29 :,D!! hahahaha!

  • Poopen de kooken LOL

  • i looked up a few of the words he said that i was actually able to make out, like Brak Brak Brak, which is Swedish for fractions, fractions, fractions i shit you not, now i may be wrong on him saying Brak, but if he does really say that then my question is, what does fractions have to do with poppin a bottle of Champagne?

  • @gundamUC79

It is more probable hes trying to start with a simple magic trick, saying "bort, bort, bort", with "bort" meaning "away" or "gone". ..... That would explain him throwing away the things, as well :D

Also, he don't speak general swedish, but a variant of it, that sounds .... like "woudibodi".

    :D

  • @RubberyCat I actually think the tradition of him throwing this is Henson does the voice and the chef head, while the other guy (played Bert and Fozzy, Frank Oz?) does the hands in such random fashion. if you watch some of the other episodes, like the spaghetti, you can see some of the antics aren't planned out, and Jim just kind of goes with it

  • @Purplesubmariner

You are correct, but that does not explain the "Bork, bork, bork" since the closest word in swedish to that non-existent word, is "bort" ....

  • @RubberyCat I wanna say thats just random as well. I don't even think its based off of real swedish, so much as it is random gibberish thats made to sound like swedish. I wouldn't take the song so literal and just enjoy the show

  • @Purplesubmariner

However, i read somewhere, that "the Swedish Chef" actually was inspired by a swedish chef, who spoke a local variant of swedish ...

But, whoknows, it may be just as you say ... just random gibberish. :)

  • @RubberyCat Probably a combination of both gibberish and a local variant of swedish

  • @Purplesubmariner Yes, and there is an infamous story with the hot sauce sketch where Oz put in more of the hot sauce than he was supposed to and cracked Henson up to the point he just had the chef laugh. It was the character's laugh, but you could tell that Oz had successfully cracked Henson up.

  • @gundamUC79 i think he says bork bork bork

  • spoiler...

  • champagne shower lol

  • He means Bårk, bårk, bårk ofcourse.. Which is swedish for "I'm not really a chef, I'm a nuclear physicist with dreams of becoming a famous ballerina doing a rendition of cats to the music of Tchaikovsky!"

  • Less heer eet fur de "boobily boobily."

  • It's not Swedish; it's Norwegian.

I'm from Iowa - we have a ton of ScanAms around here.

  • @depant77 It's not Norwegian, it's not a real languadge at all, I'm Norwegian, so I should know.

  • @FurryLamarr You take me too seriously. You'd fit in perfectly in Iowa

  • @depant77 Haha XD I'd never fit in in Iowa. I wouldn't fit in in America at all. And no, I don't take the net to serious.

  • @FurryLamarr

    Æ å :) Trønder.

  • @FurryLamarr

    norwegian??

    IT IS parody of swedish

  • this wouldnt be allowed on kids tv these days, for it shows alcohol.

    shame.

  • Two of my favorite segments. Poor Swedish Chef, and poor Newsman. ;-)

  • u can see hands at 30 under the table

  • @Lightningbladesonic

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess bloopers can turn up on the Muppet Show as much as any other show. You have to be very quick to spot those hands, though.

  • ............... he's a puppet...............

  • @Lightningbladesonic must be the hands from Frank Oz, he did the hands en Jim the face and talking

  • @Lightningbladesonic hey, good job. you learned that he was a puppet, kudos...jk

  • @Lightningbladesonic The Swedish Chef doesn't have hands of his own. There's an actual puppeteer under there who puts his arms through The Swedish Chef's sleeves and does all the hand work. They couldn't very well have sent the Chef flying with the puppeteer's hands still up his sleeves!

  • @Lightningbladesonic GOOD EYES TO SPOT HANDS for split second screen shot ;-) most people never wouldve noticed spotting the *Exposed Hands mistake*

  • @Lightningbladesonic i noticed that too

  • @Lightningbladesonic wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute......you mean the swedish chef is ACTUALLY A PUPPET???? NO WAY!!!!!!!

  • Bourque! Bourque! Bourque!

  • someone that can hear what he is singing in start of every show

  • bourque. bourque. bourque.

  • @cellardoore

    it's swedisch, noit french

  • @kinnaj999 yes i know. i was making a joke about chris bourque.

  • @cellardoore

    is that french ?

  • @cellardoor he says "Bort" which is swedish for "away", and after he says it, he throws whatever hes holding.

  • @Freddyandersson92 i know this. the "bourque" was an inside joke among pittsburgh penguin fans.

  • @cellardoore Ah, okay

  • @Freddyandersson92 jahaaa!! det har inte jag fattat;S;S ja trodde han sa bork för det står på alla kommentarer;P;P

  • @eggzonihx Hahaha xD

  • @Freddyandersson92 så logiskt nu när man tänker på det;P;P

  • Does anyone know what is what the chef sings in the intro? I think it is real swedish...

  • @julesnbecks

It is a mishmash of a few actual swedish words and jibberish. Bort, bort, bort means away, away, away.

  • @julesnbecks HAHAHAHA are u serious? dude im from norway so basically speak swedish, and no its not real man!

  • Really? Many people say it is real swedish... but I believe you... hehe

  • @julesnbecks Hahaha, I´m Swedish and this is not Swedish :P

  • @SwedishTeenager

No it isn't real Swedish. There's a segment with Sam the Eagle and a guest star where they come right out and say that the chef speaks in "Mock Swedish."

  • it's mock swedish, listen to him carefully. it's a lot of english mixed with swedish-sounding noises

  • But firsty dee poopeln the cooken xDD
