  • May I ask you why do u hate Fred that much?

Its not because I'm that big fan of LB... I'm just curious =)

  • With the bass of warwick, nookie is great!

  • hey good job. i like how u playd the bass at the like a chump part. this other dude that made a bass cover of nookie said there wasnt bass at that part . wut a douche!

  • Los Fabulosos Cadillacs!! band from my country argentina ;)

  • I hate Limp Bizkit. I really do. But your Bass playing's sooo good, it makes me forget about my hatred of the band. Nookie's also their best song.

  • @xtatictimes4ever Thanks, man :)

  • @xtatictimes4ever fuck man...

  • I like the cover. But let me just say one thing about the details below the video: You should never call people's comments "moronic," that's not right. In someone else's opinion, that could be moronic in itself. I, personally, live off Limp Bizkit. They are my idols. I love Wes Borland because he got me into guitar. I love Fred Durst because he gave me the courage to sing. Now I am the vocalist/rhythm guitarist of my own band. In my humble opinion, without Fred Durst, there is no Limp Bizkit...

  • @aotevt2zerobluesrock I'm glad they gave you a reason to start rocking. Singing is one of the most difficult things to do in the shower, not to mention live. I admire your courage.

I do disagree with your comment. As you say, it is your humble opinion without Fred Durst there would be no LImp Bizkit. I respect it. But in the same way, in my own humble opinion, I think different of Fred Durst.

I agree with you about Wes. He's awesome.

  • @aotevt2zerobluesrock

Durst flop'd without Wes around man... that speaks volumes in my eyes.

Wes & Sam are the writing forces of the band... without them, there'd be no Bizkit.

  • @Muffinman181

every member bro ! and what about Limp Bizkit without Fred !!?

  • yeah! good way of play nookie but your tabs is not correct escuse me my bad english :)

  • @carloswes En español, entonces, paisa. :)

  • Nice Warwick man. I got one myself for a killer deal for a Warwick Thumb (6-string) last year at Guitar Center. I walked out with it for $440 XD

  • @Bassistking Man, that's a killer deal. I'm looking at your linking park video as Im writing this. Lovely growl and it's just beautiful, man. Well done!

  • You is Cool

  • You played this freakin great man! =D

  • it's a nice cover, but it's not the same as the original song....

    anyway,you play very well!

  • Ur The boss!

  • Yeah man! Sam Rivers does kickass!

  • Nice Corvette mate.. good job! \m/

  • damn that was a nice cover man. Good job

  • Man I love it. Any chance you can post a link to the tabs you used?

  • what a fuckin fag sounds like shit too

  • and he also writes the thinfs that people can relate to

  • fred is more than just the singer, he is the producer too

  • sam is a great bassist. you can definetely hear the jazz influence in his playing and its awesome :)

  • i knew that was a warwick as soon as i heard it

  • Groo-vay.

  • i really agree with you about the bizkit being better of without fred durst. It's like they have and incredibly solid rythm and guitar force going, and then durst just does shitty wigger rapping over it. No wonder no takes em seriously. And definatly a nice cover you have here. Nice improvisation on the fills

  • Wow, touchy

  • @PookLowEnd Hes.. a child molester! OMG. O.O

  • Fantastic video!

  • Sam Rivers is a killer bass player. They all worked well together as a band. I'm not ashamed to admit I like them.

  • i agree. all great musicians. fred is.... well i don't know what to say about him.

  • good cover..just mabey a few too many notes tho in places..i dont think you come up high enough for the high note on the main/chorus riff..but the verse is dead on..good cover though

  • nice

  • That brought back memories

    :D

  • As long as it's not bad memories :)

  • awesome!!!!!

  • i cant make a choise between bass guitar and drums

i dont know it=( my girlfriend used to say i dont care when i asked that question.. my dad says its your choise... i dont know it:(

but nice nookie cover=D could you do take a look around.. there are so much covers at youtube of that one but all bad quality....

  • You know what, if I were you I would do both! You can maybe start to play drums and maybe learn bass later for example. :D Then again, I don't know if it's easy to learn two instruments on the same time, but you know, bass and drums walks hand in hand sometimes. :D

  • I had to decide, and the obvious choice for cost benefits, and noise benefits, bass was my way of going.

  • play drums, but wear ear muffs :) x

  • That shit was SIIIIIIICK! Badass tone on that thing man.

  • Oh I'd love to own a Warwick. I've played a few at Guitar Center, yeah they are very nice.

  • Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery nice indeed. It's too bad they have cocaine prices!

  • @PookLowEnd lol, I've never heard it put that way before!

  • He's also playing a Warwick. That always helps...

  • They sound good, don't they?

  • You've made the bass sounds prominent. Kudos for showing us that.

  • Thanks :)

  • totalmente de acuerdo, man!

  • How do you get such a good bass tone, can u tell me the settings you have ur amp on?

  • Let me see... Bass and Trebble a bit over half (but not 'till three quarters) and volume a bit under half. However I record directly to my computer. It's not "live sound".

  • He has a $1,500 Warwick Corvette

  • Yea i also have a Warwick corvette standard

  • My corvette is a 4 string and it was more than 1,500

  • best bass cover of limp bizkit i had seen

  • Thank you

  • I love that Bass they had to pry it out of my hands at guitarcenter

  • LOL. Should've made a video of that. That would've been awesome.

  • Well Its just such a high quality bass i was like after I played that i played a fender jaguar and couple p basses and they felt like toys lol the only bass that i played besides that that i played for more than a few secs was the Fender which I totally didnt expect to like lol I even played a Musicman lol

  • ok fender Mustang that was a typo

  • Great man ! Respect!

  • Thanks dude!

  • pretty cool shit bro' ;)

  • Gracias, rojinegro :)

  • You are great!! 10/10

    Un saludo.

  • ablas español?

  • man i really loved it im gonna play bass guitar too;) i love sam rivers

  • Thanks man, glad you loved it! Should post some videos when you learn some songs!

  • yeah when i can play a song and when know how i can put a vid at youtube

i enjoyed your vid again =)

  • good stuff man

  • Thank you :)

  • hey dude im a bassist too, this video pretty much describes why i love playing limp bizkit's stuff, because sam rivers combines strength and melody at the bass, and some bands lack of this (apart from mudvayne for example) awesome work, you got 5 stars ;]

  • Thank you very much :) Sam Rivers is not my favourite bassist by a long shot, but I was thinking just yesterday how much fun it is to play Limp Bizkit's stuff... I still think they would've been a much better band with a better vocalist lyricist though :)

    Thanks for commenting!

  • sam rivers is one of my favourites bass players. and of course, they would be a better band if they had a better frontman, with more brutal vocals, and with less gangsta lyrics, in fact thats how they are nowadays, but at the beginning, with three dollars bill for example, it was kind of something else.

  • very good!

  • Thank you! :)

  • cool....

  • Thanks....

  • dude u rock hard. i play guitar but i fool wit the bass and its crazy lol much respect. i luv bizkit soo much. wes is my hero. fred is an ass but thats just him. amasin band. keep it up. id luv to c u play wes claypool

  • Thanks dude! I think Fred Durst is an ass as well.

  • ur nice u amazing man!

  • Muchas gracias :)

  • manerao veiiii

    cool

  • Ah, muito obrigado, amigo brasileiro :)

  • your version is awesome man! :)

  • Thank you! Glad you like!

  • nice one

  • Thank you :)

  • nice, stereo sound! Durst also cool!:D

  • Thank you :)

  • wow, I hadn't heard this for so long man...

  • Yeah, it's amazing how much time has passed since this was a new one.

  • Hell yeah man !! I thought about singing/rapping this one but did behind blue eyes instead.

    Keep Rockin' man !!!

  • Should do it too, dude! You have a nice scream. Mwahaha.

  • Well' I agree Durst is a wh0re.

I also came by to cautiously remind You about Around the World, oh Great One :)

  • Thank you :) Working on it. I have a few requests before that one which I need to fulfill.

  • i like! i like! 5/5 pooksterr

  • Thanks, Brandon! :) Nice to see you around, buddy!

  • oh come on dude

just because he applies basic theory to his lines does not mean he does not create ctachy riffs and memorable hooks

i mean look at bands like the Police and RHCP - they use simple ideas and transform them into great bass parts

technical ability does not = great song writing

i mean, look at Jeff Berlin lol

  • I know they're not equals. What I mean is, I think he abuses it. At least Nookie, Re-Arranged, My Way have the same root-fifth-eighth based bass line, the same as the bridge in Counterfit... however, when one has a look at the verse bass line in that same song, it's obvious the guy has groove, just saying he shouldn't abuse so much of that same small formula and he should take more chances with something else, specially with a drummer as great as his cousin :)

  • nice playing and cool tone :)

this song plus others show how Sam can really groove and come up with some really interesting lines - underated imo

  • Thanks, dude. Not very underrated in my oppinion, though. He abuses the root-fifth-eighth quite a lot. But, again, only my oppinion :).

    Thanks for commenting!

  • awesome playing. limp bizkit is ok. not great but ok. i mean lets face it, they ain't no 311 i mean am i right? haha. anyway, looks like you had fun. great to have you back pook sir.

member, you gotta save all those pennies if you gonna make it up here for 311 DAY 2010. and believe me when i say it, you will be there for greatest 311 concert experience. peace

  • Will do save some pennies for it, man. Specially since (apparently) soon I'll start playing Incubus covers in a bar. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for commenting as always, Sam!

  • really? nice. sounds good. you always gotta start somewhere. i'll see you on stage one day. "keep reachin for the stars"

    Regards.

  • Gracias por el comentario :) Saludos.

  • you should try to do phenomena next. that has an insane bass part in the verse.

  • I'll have a listen. Thanks for the tip, John :)

  • Two words....Pook ROCKS!!!!

  • Two words... Thank You XD

  • LMAO!!!

  • oh yeah!! ROCK it!! xD

    great as always 5*

  • Thanks a lot, man! Always appreciated!

  • Yeah dude you rock !!! great job dude the best , limp bizkit and nookieeeeeeeee foreverrrr

  • Thanks man, glad you like it!

  • aww!! I would never think you'd play this. We should have have collaborated on this one. I just made a guitar cover of this 2 weeks ago. I also made 2 rage bass covers, a chili peppers and bulls on parade guitar cover with the dj scratch solo. lol good stuff. Nice job. I was killing for new pook bass videos. P.S. I coud never figure of this bassline. It's kinda hard to figure out because the clarity of the recording. Thats what i think.

  • Actually, my dear Anissa, it's not a complete coincidence that I'm playing this a couple of weeks after you posted your guitar cover. Thanks to your playing, and the process of elimination, I was able to separate guitar from bass from the original recording and figure out the line, since, because of that weird-ass guitar Wes plays in this song, I just couldn't tell both of them apart, so I was able to learn this one thanks to you... so THANK YOU :)

  • lol no problem.:)

  • I totally agree with you about them, everything but Fred is actually pretty good.

  • Yeah, there's no better proof of that than listening to the small instrumental beats in between songs in their records.
