This is incredible! What an idea! Art and helping our natural reefs out by creating artificial reefs. Not only that, but Summer 78 by Yann Tiersen is one of my favourite pieces!
I envy you, when I was a kid I lost my eardrum and my favorite sport was swiming, but finally I had to let it go, (because of the loss of the ear...worse and worse), BUT ANYWAY as an artist also i see how you see history happening is good...you keep in the good work, to me is the caviar and lobster what mater most.
Kudos for the shots and blending the whole thing with Tiersen's music:-).Can't believe the coincidence, yesterday I read about this in a KLM in-flight magazine! It said Taylor created this to take the pressure off the real reefs!I
Go to Jason de Caries Taylor's web site and see the other videos that show and tell about the gradual metamorphosis of the artwork though the growth of marine life. Nature changing art into new art.
This is a incredible masterpiece! They look so real! They have sort of an eerie/ awe sort of effect. It looks as if they are just resting or that theyre all under a spell. And the rust and old sort of look makes them seem as if they were relics just like a sunken ship or something.
intense they look so real that you think they will open their eye any moment... There seems to be some intensity... mostly a indication of being at peace in the dream world...
I can't help but feel that these are real and maybe they were cemented. With the exception of the bike, the type writer and the pitcher and table. Something about this resonates with in me. These people came from Benin or the coast of Africa and black people have always been water beings. It has never been known to most that during the slavery period that the slaves were forbidden to going to the beaches. Thank you for this.
This video is amazing, especially since the music is by Yann Tiersen, because I was just listening to Comptine D'un Autre Ete. Videos like this make me actually appreciate youtube.
maybe in like a thousand years when we leave the planet aliens will come and find only these and not know what they were or where they came from, like stonehenge
I read about this recently in the travel section of a top selling UK newspaper but seeing it on Youtube is amazing - it looks so spiritual, peaceful and thought provoking.
An original concept and something I'd definetely like to see when I come to Grenada (again!), God Bless our beautiful island.
other than the obvious fact that these sculptures and the idea behind it is completely astonishing, i couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful every frame of this video is; just like a painting in motion.
Very haunting and totally beautiful images thanks for showing this video, the artist must be so proud, if its possible to give this video more than five stars I would.
