  • 6:45 to 9:30, your so full of shit!

  • This is a sad life just sayinn......

  • All successful and accomplished musicians, athletes, and skilled craftsmen require lots of time, practice & discipline. You could have spent your teens smoking weed, playing video games, eating junk food all day while trying to lay everything that walks. The grass is always greener isn't it!?!

  • @YKAEYA You don't need that to be saved. Recognize that God revealed himself as JESUS CHRIST WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS

  • JW's are no different than catholics really. If their false-Christ cult wasn't just for the most batshit insane, it could compete. Churches have to die so faith can return. They are filled with people who are terrified of dying and jew sympathisers. If you have real light in you, the church usually drives you to atheism. That is it's jewish purpose, for would-be followers of Christ.

  • umm well just saying that i am a witness kid and u hav a really dull life!! get involved do sumthing hang out with other witness kids and hav some fun we hav a witness kids basketball, football, volleyball, and softball team!! so well u jus hav a boring life and we still get to have dances and stuff jus like normal kids we just dont dress like sluts and stuff and we still get to do mostly normal things but it looks like u were jus a boring person so umm ya u just failed at life!!

  • Thank you God for waking me up! Eternally grateful- I am!

  • @1986TruthSeeker Aw, thank you. Enjoy the rest of your life, it's a hell of a ride but exciting for every second :)

  • OMG. The memories. The shattered dreams. The lies.

  • Why are there JW's commenting on this video, this video is apostasy in their views and they are not even supposed to view them, looks to me like a part of them wants to know how full of crap their beliefs are

  • @5Dshapeshifter116 You know how people are, they want to be able to insult people who don't agree with their teachings all the while not watching it.

  • Most teenage things lead you into trouble anyway. I left JW's 2 years ago, but nothing else makes since to me, I'm thinking of going back. We all walk around in circles reguardless if we're with JW's or not. Even if we leave we're still slaves to the system.

  • @2many2remember1 I think you underestimate what a huge dork I am. I probably would've became a coffee shop guitar player or school theatre. If you want to shoot me a PM, I'm not sure I understand the "nothing else makes sense" statement.

  • @2many2remember1 discover your divine self, why would you go back you would have to actually believe their lies to do that, the truth is we have potentials hidden within us, and the watch tower does not accept individuality everyone must think the same and accept all that is said on that platform, meditation and yoga are awesome tools that help us discover our true awesomeness the truth is that there is no limit to how good you can feel with these exercises and reach enlightenment, wake up

  • So sad...and so true.

  • All power and authority are given to Jesus Christ. And He wants to set you, as Jehovah's Witnesses (captives), free from bondage, religiosity, false prophecies, deception, servitude to your Organization, lies, self-righteousness, arrogance and every demonic conceit and constraint! Jesus Christ has given me a new life in Him! And He has the same born again experience for you - all of you! \o/

  • why do you guys that leave still talk about it.....jw this ,jw that,,,nothing better to do out ther or what. you should just have ur fun....while you can,,,,get over it...move on,little girls dont cry as much///// from a brother to an apostate,,,,,,later

  • @MrCbdsr Why do you JWs refuse to do even a slight amount of research like watching the first video someone posts to see why they do something or make videos. Is it fun to be that ignorant? To quote animal house, fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son. But worse is living your life with your head buried in the sand, why research if you're actually right when you can just deny everything in front of you right?

  • My old man put my schedule on a poster board and posted it in my room ... LOL. I'm not active in the organization anymore, but in a way, I'm kinda glad I had that kinda structure growing up. I'm sure it kept me out of trouble.

  • @Wesleyskaters It's not me that will assume, it's the readers. What do the scriptures say, one would be better off tying a millstone around their neck and be pitched into the sea rather than stumble a brother in the faith. Hope you're a very strong swimmer.

  • @Wesleyskaters Hence I'm deleting all my comments because if someone should happen across this I will look like a total moron because it was proven in black and white that I lied about what my religion really teaches. Wesley this looks even worse for you and your cause, now the world sees my comments referencing things you've said and showing them as wrong and then they see your comments deleted. If you were speaking truth you would've left the comments up to view.

  • @Wesleyskaters So apparently you can't even look up your own publications, the P. stands for page and not paragraph. And no... the sources say that College is a hot-bed for immoral activity and should be avoided. So now you're saying after commenting on MY channel "Let me have the last word and stop replying to the comments I'm making on YOUR video". Yes, you're very convincing. Still you haven't referenced the video reference of the talk by Garrett Losche either, very sad my man.

  • @Wesleyskaters OK so I have provided proof that JWs discourage college, your reasoning consists of "Not-Uh, we can" and a bunch of examples that might or might not be true. Wesley, why should I believe you, I've put in black and white numerous examples, can you put any black and white examples from publications up saying that JWs should attend college? Think someone coming across this conversation what do you think their conclusion is going to be, they're going to think you're lying.

  • @Wesleyskaters Yes 50 videos that last no more than 2 hours in total recorded over a two year span. Yes very obsessed, I've spent more time on the toilet in 2 weeks than I have on JWs in a 2 year span. The only thing bad that happened to me is that when I had questions I was told not to question and just to accept the answers. I just posted NUMEROUS publications saying JWs shouldn't attend college, so we don't agree. I'm accusing you of using Theocratic warfare on here.

  • @Wesleyskaters I know Wesley, you wanted to hide the stuff in the Watchtower and avoid it because it went against what you were saying. That's an example of Theocratic Warfare, you play dumb when it comes to things in order to make your religion seem better. When a talk was mentioned from Youtube you could deny away, when the Publications are brought up you're dead to rights. I can link the talk too if you want, just search Garrett Losche.

  • i think beliefs concerning jws are not very consistant, depending on where u live they may believe different things. ill ask someone in the congregation a question n they would give me 1 answer ,but then id look on the watchtowers website and see something tottally different. In my area they didnt believe in shunning some have never heard it before...and other areas they are strong practicers. some really dont know that much about what they believe..the wide array of answers i get is astonishing

  • @TheSiSiDreamz One would think that if something is "the truth" and there's only one "truth" in a teaching it would be a consistent one.

  • @Wesleyskaters I was a JW for 21 years. It doesn't say not to go to college? WT 6/15/2011 P.6, P.31, WT 9/1/2008, WT 4/15/2006 P. 27, WT 9/1/1999 P. 17, WT 11/1/1992 P. 20, Awake 5/8/1989 P. 13.... should I go on? Apparently you should read your own publications kid.

  • @TimKilgore i thought that too until i read an article frowning upon college. it said that desiring a prestige job is a worldy thing and is materialistic. especially in older watchtower mags ..i know i dont have all the answers and am still searching but there is no denying it when its printed boldly in the watchtower mags itself. i remember being mad and confused after reading it, because i wanted soo bad for things to make sense.

  • @Wesleyskaters Search it's on youtube I can also post WT sources if you want

  • @Wesleyskaters It's from various talks that are posted on youtube, one from Governing body member Garrett Losche.

  • @Wesleyskaters I probably lived in a stricter household than you do. Not all JW's schedules are like this, this was just my schedule as I said in the beginning of the video.

  • Being a JW and dedicating yourself to Jehovah is the best thing you can ever do! :)

  • @KINGTERO11 If you're such a "devout" JW, why do you have Wiz Khalifa music in your favorites folder? Don't you know you're living a "double life" by listening to Satan's music??

  • @MistahFen. ok look "mr. fen" first of all you dont know anything about my life, am i baptized?? am i a publisher?? How long have i studied with the JW?? my point is DONT JUDGE if you dont know, only one that can do that is Jehovah. And since when is Wiz Khalifa music "Satans music"? just sayin. Have a good day.

p.s. you would check my channel lol smh.

  • @KINGTERO11 The WT says that about rap music my man, I believe that's what he's pointing out.

  • @TimKilgore Oh it does? Can you please tell me what magazine I can read that off of? What watchtower magazine? or publication? please. Thank You.

  • @KINGTERO11 WT 12/15/2001 p 16, WT 9/1/99 p 10, WT 7/15/97 p. 10. WT 7/1/94 "What has happened to authority", WT 4/15/93 "Guard Against Unwholesome Music", WT 10/15/92 P. 16. So that's just in the Watchtower would you like me to go into the Awake?

  • @TimKilgore Ok thanks i'll take a look at it and make sure it says rap music which is wiz khalifas music "satanic" music thank you very much.

  • @KINGTERO11 You're the JW man, you should have the WT CD Rom. That took me all of 15 seconds to look up, plus you didn't think I'm a wrestler with all the links even in the side of this video of matches of mine. I'm hoping this is tunnel-vision my man.

  • @TimKilgore Yeah i do have the WT CD installed on my pc. But there i did not find the word(s) Rap Music in any of the publications why is that? And well have a nice day. I have my meeting today to serve the Almighty Jehovah. I love my life as a JW, couldnt be any happier!

  • @KINGTERO11 I literally searched rap music and that's all. Oh you do eh, some people like Groundhog day.

  • @KINGTERO11

Becoming an atheist is the best thing you can do. It doesn't matter which Christian sect one joins because the Bible is nonsense. If everyone on the Ark carried inherited sin what was the point of the Flood? "The Promise" isn't God saying he'll won't flood the world again. We know this because garden hoses, oil floating on water and prisms can all produce "The Promise".

If the 7 days of Creation are periods of time; how do you work out when the Sabbath is?

  • @KINGTERO11 OOOOH HELL YES.....AND RECEIVE THE MARK OF THE BEAST AND BECOME A MINDLESS SHEEP ZOMBIE. Personally, a person is better off dead than being in that Satanic Cult

  • @timkilgor im a jw and were did you find that we play sports i play vollyball, basket ball , and soccor so rethink your statement

  • @TheMissbieber27 Ah I see what you're taking from that, what you're doing here is something called a straw-man argument where you create a position that the person never held in order to knock it down and seem like the winner. There was an article in 1994/95 talking about playing tackle football. So let me ask you, do you play for the school volleyball, basketball and soccer teams or do you just play them in general? I'm talking about school sports dear.

  • @TheMissbieber27 Hi Missbieber. Aside from all the sport stuff (we can talk about that later) I have a question for you that I would really like for you to think about: What do YOU think Jehovah God's plan is for salvation for mankind upon the earth? Hint: there is no write or wrong answer: I just want your thoughts - sincerely... Thanks! TBAM *( :

  • @thebibleanswerman1 by "write" answer, do you mean right answer? I suppose she can give you the answer as soon as you show her a single scripture with "Paradise Earth" in it. Since you know the term doesn't appear anywhere in the bible.

  • @TimKilgore That's exactly what I mean. They make everything rocket science. Let's see, the word "paradise" only appears 4 times in the bible BY ITSELF (no "earth") and EACH AND EVERY single time its refering to Heaven. So, when someone reads these passages for the first time, where do they thing paradise is? Duh! But they have the oddasity to claim the word "Trinity" is not in the bible. True, but the CONCEPT IS. Wheres the concept for paradise earht? Unbelievable. TBAM

  • @thebibleanswerman1 You'd probably like my video "For the Last Time - Am I Nitpicking?"

  • @TimKilgore Yeah, I'd love to check it out, where can I find it? Your "great debate" video on your page was great!!! ( :

  • @thebibleanswerman1 read mathew 6:9,10

  • @versatileVenice143 You're kidding, this has nothing to do with paradise. What does it say "your WILL be done, on Earth as it is in heaven." So what that prayer is saying, like in heaven when God asks his angels to do things they do it, but on Earth not so much. That has nothing to do with paradise earth. Do JWs even read the bible any more or do they strictly read the Watchtower that says some statement and puts a scripture in parenthesis even if it doesn't apply?

  • @versatileVenice143 Tuche'! ( : TBAM

  • @thebibleanswerman1 what does TBAM mean?

  • @versatileVenice143 The Bible Answer Man... T-B-A-M... that's me ( :

  • Looks peculiarly similar to my childhood... so glad I wised up now that I have children of my own. The only ones that defend the religion are ones who are still delusional enough to believe in it..(for those people I truly feel sorry)... or the ones who have never lived it as a child. And..... Groundhog Day.... what a great reference..LOL

  • @funkymamaof4 Thanks, as soon as I read the notebook again I thought of that movie.

  • Tim, this was my life, too! But I am kind of thankful for that kind of schedule. People who know me now ask how I can get as much accomplished or stay awake as long as I do! :-)

  • There are a lot of JW that go out partying, dancing and playing sports. Your life may have been boring but many JW's had fun growing out. But this video gives the impression that all Jehovah Witnesses youths do is work and study. Sometimes it may be the parents fault, but not the religion. The religion is never against having fun

  • @adg1112 Eh I'm sure there are, however I can quote many Watchtower articles that say not to party, dance and play sports. Take a quick look below at the comments this video has spawned, you'll notice there's a couple saying that they grew up JW and had fun then there's the vast majority saying their childhood was the same way. We didn't have the same parents just the same religion.

  • also i remember getting grounded because i got caught trying to study for my biology exam during an assembly!!! How F***ing bad i must have been to want to do well in by exams....!!??? armaggedon was just round the corner.... LMAO!!!

  • Great wee video Timkilgore... i remember how that felt!!!

@ dorkwad31 get a grip!! U clearly weren't "brought up in the truth" (I hate that phrase - "the thruth" just proves the extent of the brainwashing) or u would know how tough this monotony is/was!! + even if there was time for "leisure" activities u wouldnt be allowed to with "worldly" people or u couldn't join any clubs or anything cause chances were they would clash with a freaking meeting of sumsort!!!

  • Scheduled visit with the fathers from 10 AM to 6 PM???? :OOOO

  • @Nine00 I'm a child of divorce.

  • @TimKilgore Oh you meant your father. LOL sorry I thought fathers as in elders.

  • @Nine00 Ha... ew.

  • You have been robbed of your youth and I am very sorry for that. It seems like you never got to do any teenage things.

  • @Nine00 jehicah witnnesses do plenty of teenage things

  • @CreddiesugarlandFan Looking at HIS schedule tells me that HE didn't get to do teenage things. I did not, and cannot speak for all teenage JWs but with all the meetings, studies, field service, school and homework there is very little time left for them to be kids- that IS a fact!

  • @Nine00 true we do not gert to do too many things during the school yr. but i nthe sukmmer we can still make plans w/ other witnneses to go places-4 example im leaveing to go 3-4 states away from my family with my friends and staying thier for a full month away from my family

  • @CreddiesugarlandFan Actually most JW teens I know/knew got guilty tripped into pioneering during the summer at the cong. where I was an unbaptized publisher. If I do teenage things instead of that, that's good for you. Don't let it take over your whole life, you're only a teen once and these years go by so fast. I'm assuming you are a baptized publisher?

  • @Nine00 no, not yet,i try to get out in service every sat. my bro and sis are though.i dont like going to ppls house so i dont go out much. true ppl want yus out in service more but we dont go normally we try to get out on staurdays and we got some friends who are in thier 19-20's and they are witnesses who helped my dad out when we were younger so they take us to trips and stuff-swimming in lake michigan hiking camping stuuf like that.i'm 13 and my oldest sibling is 15

  • @CreddiesugarlandFan I did not like service either. I did the hour that was required, not a second more. If you aren't a publisher, you don't have to go at all though. I recommend that you do some research on the JWs before getting baptized. It's not like you have to believe any of it, just look what's out there outside of the watchtower. Do you have any friend who aren't Witnesses at school?

  • @Nine00 not really, all my friends who arent witnnes moved. there is one boy though that is a witness but tells everyone at school he is lutherun and doenst agree w/ all his parents say

  • Dude, great video! I can't believe I spent all of my Senior year of HS as a Regular Pioneer. Thank God I got out of that brainwash!!! What a relief!!!!

  • nice video. shouldn't it be called, "A week in the life of a teenaged Jehovah's Witness". im just sayin'.

  • @hardhick Ha, hilarious. You're right I probably should've :)

  • Excellent video. I'd actually go so far as to say that this schedule is a little on the light side when you consider everything you're "supposed" to do. What about your daily bible reading? Aren't Saturday's supposed to be devoted to witnessing?? I mean, you only did 3 hrs of street witnessing in the morning! And you can street witness before school.

So glad to be out of "the organization."

  • @zemestani Ha, I think if my schedule was any tighter I would've killed myself LOL.

  • You forgot (rub one out )

  • @7777dmith7777 I put down that I took a bath... er... I mean I never did that as a good JW :)

  • @dorkwad31 Oh that non-existent point where all the wrongs will be right. If you're accountable for your sins to Jehovah, I'd be worried about teaching the wrong things and people dying due to it. LOL on the love thing, have you read the Old Testiment.

  • video sure is busy! This would actually be a rare case.

  • @dorkwad31 This was me, this was my schedule. The difference between you and me was I had two jobs. I want you to go ahead and scroll down through the comments and see how many say they had similar schedules. It can't be that rare.

  • Well, if you went to school and worked two different jobs, it sounds like even if you were not in a family of JW's, you would still have a very tight schedule. Poor dude haha.

  • @dorkwad31 If you take out the time I spent at meetings and studying for meetings and going out in service my schedule would not have been very bad at all. Go ahead and do the math.

  • Well, can't the same be said about you working two jobs? Let's just say you only had one job that you worked part time? Or let's just say you're homeschooled? There are a lot of factors that could have given you more time for leisure activities than simply blaming it on your family's religion. This whole thing just seems kinda... silly.

  • I am a teenage Jehovah's Witness, and I have time for myself throughout the week haha. Every friday night, I get together with 3 other guys to play music. I still get to both midweek and sunday meeting, I do my personal study everyday, every thursday night we have the family study, and I'm even aux pioneering this month. Which means I have to get at least 50 hours of field service. While keeping busy with all that, I still have time for relaxation and leisure activities. The young man in this

  • Wow, thats a bit like the schedule I used to do...

I too am glad to be away from it all... :)

  • The WTS wants their followers to stay busy studying their publications, this way they can't be influenced by the real world.

My week: M-personal study,T-study for wed meeting,W-meeting,Th-study for bk study,F-bk study,S-study for WT,Sun-field service and meeting.

Bottom line- no time to study for school to get a good education. This is part of the WTS plan, keep their followers naive about the world.

  • I was a JW, however, my parents divorced after my mother had an affair, she then married the man she had the affair with thus disfellowshipping her. 8 years later my mother divorces my step-father because he was abusive. Disfellowshipping her a 2nd time. She then re-marries my father, disfellowshipping her a 3rd time.

1st - Nothing happened to my abusive step-faher and the ELDERS AMONG OTHERS KNEW ABOUT IT.

2nd - An elders daughter gets pregnant before marriage and nothing happens to her.

  • Come on you've seen it before, only certain people in the congregation get punished. If you have the right connections you can get away with anything.

  • It's really not a matter of "getting away" with anything. If someone is unrepentant after they commit a serious sin, they get disfellowshipped. It's all up to the attitude of the person to determine weather they get strong counsel, or disfellowshipped. I actually know a guy who is an elder's son who worked at Bethel. He slept with another brother's wife, and they both got disfellowshipped.

  • @dorkwad31 And I can give you names, years and the congregation where they got away with it. Same exact thing. In fact an active Witness posts on my videos where his wife left him for another brother, the brother was an elder and neither of them got disfellowshipped. This man couldn't do anything because he was threatened with being disfellowshipped for "causing divisions".

  • Well that's suprising. If that's the case, those elders were not practicing justice or love. Justice and love are 2 of Jehovah's main qualities. Even if those people "got away" with it for now due to men's imperfection, they will still be held accountable to Jehovah for their sins.

  • @dorkwad31 Oh of course, everyone's accountable to Jehovah for their sins. Telling people the end is near when it's not, creating random reasons for various beliefs that cause people to die, it's all accountable. Justice and Love eh, King David got away with murder in Jehovah's eyes? Would a regular Israelite been forgiven so easy? Where's the justice? Love? By sending his people to smash infants heads against rocks?

  • Once again, it's not a matter of getting away with anything. In fact, David DIDN'T get away with it. David sinned when he committed adultery with Bath-Sheba. He gained God's forgiveness due to his repenting. He repented of his sin, and thus God forgave him. And yes, if a regular Isrealite was genuinely was sorry for such a sin, they too would be forgiven. God is not partial. Jehovah can read our hearts, and he WANTS to forgive.

  • @dorkwad31 What was the punishment for a regular Israelite's fornicating with a married woman? What was David's punishment? Are there other cases in the bible where Jehovah forgave just a regular Israelite for his indiscretions without the normal punishment? Now can you tell me God is not partial?

  • For someone who doesn't believe that God exists, you sure do talk about him a lot like he exists. If God truly is just a character in a popular book to you, why does the idea that we are all accountable to something greater bother you so much?

  • @dorkwad31 For someone who believes in God and claims to read the book about him daily, you sure don't know alot about him.

  • What don't I know about him? I'm not saying that I have a full knowledge of the Bible, but I'm just curious to what you meant by that.

  • @dorkwad31 Mainly every quality that you describe God as having has been disproven by his actions in the bible. I know though, most believers ignore VAST portions of the bible.

  • All of Jehovah's ways are just. I can promise you one thing, he never has, and never will unjustly punish someone.

And going back to my question. If you truly don't even believe that God exists and that he's just a character in a book, why does the idea that each of us are accountable to him bother you so much?

  • @dorkwad31 You can promise me huh? So then do you ever think it's just to punish a person forever with death for a finite crime and on top of that a finite crime that the person cannot help due to having ingrained flaws. The idea doesn't bother me at all, what bothers me is that believers don't realize that in their beliefs they are the anti-thesis of what they say he judges against. I also am annoyed by people who only quote and pay attention to certain scriptures and not them all.

  • A little side point of humor haha.

David, speaking to Isreal: "Now I'm gonna say this again. I, did not, have, sexual, relations, with that woman."

  • Here is what i do as a teenage JW: I go to school to get my second license as an aircraft mechanic. I go to the park with my friends.

  • Teenage as in how old?

  • I study the watchtower on fridays at a brothers house, then we go out to bayside or we watch the Heat game. Sometimes we are able to go. With all that said, I go to sleep at 11:30 p.m. and wake up at 4:45 a.m. everyday to go to school (except saturdays and sundays which i use to go to the park, preach, work out in the flight line or practice for my 3 sports). I don't feel tired and I am very happy. I also do other things like Modern Warfare 2, NCAA and so forth.

  • Why don't you actually write down your schedule and make a video response to the video?

  • Comment removed

  • this definitely captures the monotony of being a JW teen. glad im out!

  • LOL, thanks. Are those apples really THAT sour :)

  • quite sour yes. i wanted my user name to be something else but its too close to my public business youtube account. i use this one to start flaming youtube battles lol.

  • Oh no... if you're going to flame someone go after theBIBLETHUMPER83 or jaycanz7; I have too many people flaming me now to have one more LOL.

  • lemme at 'em

  • You know how you did it. You did it because you had Jehovah's holy spirit.

  • Because I left people tell me I never had Jehovah's holy spirit, otherwise I wouldn't have left. So no, Jehovah had nothing to do with this.

  • Good - frikkin' - grief... I added it up... That's 22 hours spent on Watchtower requirements (I didn't count the morning reading of the "daily text", except for Sunday morning when you lost 1/2 hour reading two days' worth of text...) And only 6 1/4 hours for homework... Keeps you from thinking, all right... Also sheds more light on why the WTBTS is against college... Any JW with serious scholastic ambitions MUST 'steal' time from the WTBTS in order to succeed in college...

  • To be fair I was one of only I believe four in the congregation that had an after school job, nevermind two of them. So they probably had more time for homework than I did. When added up that is actually more time than I spent at either of my jobs and is essentially a part time job. Funny is if you scroll down and read the comments there was a JW who said this schedule was like theirs and brought back fond memories until they got to the end LOL.

  • thats the problem i had growing up.

to be balanced only taking on what you can handle...and if your not it can screw you up mentally.

  • Haaa, ido love the hats n curls, no don't get me wrong,im no race hater,l like jews ,i worked for a few great to work for, without them we would have no Adam Sandler...that would be a sad day,by the way love the vid brings back the old days, that i'd like to forget

  • Atheist, thats to extreme,my take is ,God don't give a shit! he found out he made a huge mistake...the human race...just look how "F" uped the Jews are(Gods people)...case closed.

  • Come on man, Jews have those really cool hats. And those curls on the sides of their heads, that's pretty boss.

  • you got me there!!!!

  • Thanks for the memories. I was born into it and left after 20 years because I realized I was praying to nobody. Good = God, Bad = Satan. Please. More documented eye witness testimony to alien abductions than to Jesus. Please. What, the bible writers only lifted a pen to write whats in the New World Trans. Please. Jesus could read but couldn't write. Please. God gets one of his children pregnant and says "I never touched her," Please. Thank God I'm an atheist now.

  • Atheists unite! *goes for the super smack secret Atheist hand shake*

  • you have no idea how much I love being an atheist. Not talking to my brainwashed parents for the last 15 years has been sooo great. Never look back just make new friends. Use the inherent moral values you were born with. Life is great for living, not slaving.

  • I probably wouldn't be as happy not talking to my parents for any amount of time, but I have to say I'm amazingly more happy being an atheist.

  • I know what you mean. I never had a close relationship with my parents. I couldn't wait to get away from them. I realize that this is not the norm. The freedom to live my life is worth being away from them and what they believe. To make someone feel guilty about not being part of a religion is evil. They were responsible for making me so inadequate for living on my own. They told me many times that I don't need to worry about life because the NewSystem would come before i finished school.Foolish

  • I have trouble thinking about the future like that too. My mother has absolutely no retirement savings and she's rounding retirement age. For me I'm still close with my parents, but friends I can still stop talking to at the drop of a hat because my whole life I was doing that because they didn't agree with x or if they were disfellowshipped.

  • Yeah, Thomas Gibbs, I know what you mean. I "disfellowshipped" my parents; their hypocrisy and brutality [as practicing Jehovah's Witnesses] when I was under their thumb - they tried to 'beat' me into the Watchtower cult - when I finally did get my head clear enough to get out, I realized what vicious monsters they really were, and I cut THEM off - swore to NEVER talk to them again under ANY circumstances... Ahhh... Blessed silence... Nothing like 'shunning' the shunners!!!

  • 6:04 - That elder had lots of kids at his house at the study. Was he a peda?

  • LOL, no it was a large get-together weekly at this elder's house. There were different people invited weekly, though we were 8 out of 10 on the guest list for a while.

  • Wow it's amazing how they expected ya to keep that up eh.

But I really doubt you acualy did keep it up.

Also are still this religion or did you convert eh.

  • I kept it up for the most part, I didn't all the time. Sometimes I would skimp on my personal study, but for the most part if I were skipping something it was the homework for school. Especially Fridays, I was 50/50 with doing homework and just falling asleep when I got home. I'm no longer in the religion.

  • And you finish with an advertisment for your religion. Topped off with an appeal to guilt and fear. You realize that atheists watch this channel, former witnesses watch this channel, and doubting JWs watch this, what makes you think the comments you've given will win anyone over at all. The only thing you've done is use logical fallacies which the watchers of these videos will spot in a second. You've also stated things as fact without evidence. All you're doing is turning people away.

  • Oh and one point further. You mentioned something in one of your comments about the Memorial and why it is still celebrated since Jesus has already arrived. Well, you're right he has already returned as King in heaven, but the Memorial (aka The Lord's Evening Meal/Last Supper) was to be celebrated until Christ's brothers were reunited with Christ in heaven because the meal represented a covenant (agreement) for a kingdom. And that covenant would not fulfilled until they were all in that kingdom.

  • The Memorial is not supposed to be celebrated until Christ's brothers are reunited with Christ in heaven, Jesus specifically said "Keep doing this in remembrance of me until I return", for someone who loves to quote scriptures I figured you would've quoted this one... oh yeah you only quote things that agree with you.

  • Gross assumption to try and take away the content of the video. This is what's called a straw-man argument. When I was leaving I prayed literally for hours per night for God to show me the truth. He did and I left.

  • The schedule there did not keep me safe from those things, I did. I still at age 30 have had all of three alchoholic drinks, never touched a drug, have only had sex with my wife after marriage. Many in my congregation were as JWs and obviously many after I left. It was not religion that prevented me from these things it was myself. Praying was required before meals, studies, and before bed so yes I had time.

  • You do no mention this because it's truth, you mention it because you BELIEVE it's truth. If it were actual truth you wouldn't react so vehemently to someone disagreeing to it with nothing but logical fallacies. You would represent fact.

  • I agree with you look at the hypocracy of people who claim to represent God, they teach lies about the facts about violence in the world, they have said the world was going to end several times when it didn't, they cover up molestation in their organization and joined the UN. What do you know those are all things the Watchtower has done. I forgot the hypocracy of pointing this out for other religions but not admitting your own religion is guilty of the same.

  • Preaching with no proof thanks, if you want to preach on here that's fine but I will challenge it.

  • If you're wrong then you're teaching incorrect things to people around the world, you don't think God would hold you responsible for that? What about others that believe they're right with faith and teach it, why will they be held accountable negatively but not you if you're wrong. I have found FAR more answers in life and am FAR happier thanks. Why do you equate hope after death with being happy?

  • The funny part about this is that people who aren't JWs look at this and think it's borderline torture for any child to have this kind of schedule, if I left out the ending remarks for those outside the org it would look just as negative. I don't doubt you found it discouraging, seeing a schedule like this and seeing that it really does keep people running around with no time to think or question anything about their beliefs.

  • Bashing a religion is saying that you're happy you left? So if you were a Catholic and left then said you didn't believe what you were taught that's considered bashing it? I'm showing my personal schedule and my conclusion that's not forcing anyone to choose anything. What if I'm wrong, ah Pascal's Wager, how about what if you're wrong? What does that question ever answer?
