Hiya, love watching your vids, they are great to watch while crafting. I have the label thirteen die also, have you tried taking the smaller of the dies and turning it 90*, it looks really effective that way.
@Dinnadoit2 I haven't tried that yet, but thank you for the idea! I rarely use the really little dies in each set because I just don't think about them & I am trying to be better about that. :D Thanks for watching & sharing!
Good tips--the nestabilities extra die cuts and about matching the plaid. The butterfly tag is exquisite--great techniques. I quite new to stamping and I am in love with the results. Thanks for all the inspiration. (aka flowerof august)
Your videos are always so inspiring! I had a car accident lately that left me out of range for a while... and this video is so ....( I can't think of the right word)... but I feel like getting in my scrap room and create for days!!!! Thank you so much!
@xrysak74 I'm sorry to read about your accident, but I am so happy that it inspired you to start creating! I hope you have a wonderful time in your scrap room! :D
Love watching these...which I think I say after every video. LOL...anyway, I tried browsing the CTMH online catalogue but couldn't find a price for the White Daisies ink....do you remember how much it costs and if I have to contact a demonstrator?
@scrapaway1 I think it was six or seven dollars. I bought mine online from a gal on my website. Try "scrapchicky . myctmh . com / Retail / Products . aspx?CatalogID=36" with no spaces & that should bring up their page with all their inks & you can check out directly from there. I also purchased the Colonial White {a softer more shabby chic white} and the Vanilla Cream {Vanilla} and they are both nice.
Kathryn, I have to send you a BIG THANK YOU....you always take the time to answer each question on your videos and are so willing to share your techniques and give good advice as to where to get items you use. BTW I just ordered some red tape from the website you purchase yours.....great prices! Now I'm off to find the seam binding...Hugs Noel
I am enjoying your videos of the pages. I especially like that you are doing so much stamping, as that is my first (craft) love. Thanks for sharing all your ideas and tips for decorating. Dale
@dalerose600 I definitely have been on a stamping kick lately! :D I love stamping, too, so I have been trying to think of lots of ways we can incorporate our beautiful stamps and stamping products into our minis.
Kathryn, what are the names of all the colors of the inks you are using throughout this album? I was able to catch yellow cadmium and charcoal, but not he other two. Thanks! Sharon
@smscrapper The four Colorbox Fluid Chalk Inks I used throughout this album are Charcoal {dark grey}, Grey Whale {light grey}, Yellow Cadmium {yellow} and Azurite {blue}. The Distress Stains used in this particular video are Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint. The white ink is Close to My Heart "White Daisy" and it is the best white ink I have found {and I've tried A LOT of white inks}.
Yeah, another video day. love how the album is coming along. great color combo and love the embossing folders and tine butterflies. You are amazing. tfs. Flirtini
@ohhowcutebycyn I don't know why itt's not letting you sub ~ that is so weird! I hope that gets fixed for you soon. I have noticed YouTube having some problems with links the past few days, so maybe that will get fixed soon.
Okay.. as I watched all of these series.. and even all of your other series.. You seem to have an idea of how you are going to lay out each page.. Where do you come up with these ideas and do you sketch them out or do you make them up as you go.. The video seems flawless as though there is no thought process throughout the videos.. Do you have a sketch off to the side as to how you make your mini books.. You do an exceptional job!
@mssoftbrn Well, before I start gluing stuff down, I usually know what I am doing. It can take me a while to do a page. I put things on, take them off, move them around, stare at it, have a drink of water, move stuff around some more, etc. But I don't put THAT part of the process on YouTube because you would all be bored to tears. :D So I edit out all the boring stuff where I'm not actually doing anything & that's why it looks like it only takes me ten minutes to do a page.
@MimziesWimzs I got it on eBay. It is a different brand than what everyone else seems to use, but it is 100% Rayon, woven edge seam binding just like the Snug Hug, so I think they're probably exactly the same as each other.
Your videos are very inspirational....I like how you explain everything as you go along and you share so much....that's a true artist. The butterfly technique is lovely.
I have to ask....do you like the MS circle cutter over another brand? I ask because I've heard mixed reviews on it and I'm in need of one. TFS Hugs Noel
@MimziesWimzs My first choice for circles is always Nestabilities. They cut so beautifully! Sometimes I need a circle that I don't have a die for & this cutter works just as well as any other {which means, I wish it worked a little bit better but it gets the job done fine once you learn its little tricks}. There isn't another circle cutter I would recommend instead of this one for smaller circles, but I will say that I do love her cutter for larger circles ~ that one rocks!
So beautiful...or did I already say that a time or two or three? How about fabulous! :o)
