I have used this product in all the cars I own. My daily driver is 00 lexus and its at 200,000 miles and i put 115 miles on it daily and do my oil changes every 6 months or 20,000 miles using 1 quart of mmo and the rest of royal purple. You cant even hear the motor in the lexus. When i change out the oil i am amazed how clean it still looks when i drain. You will notice when you use mmo for the 1st oil change your oil will come out black like coffee then on the next one it will look light.
Good thing I don't have a gas engine I poured half a gallon in my 30 gallons of diesel but it cleaned it out good turbo spoils a little quicker but most of all I towed my 30 ft boat 2 hours and only used 1/4 tank fuel damn think I might put some in the boat that's the real gas hog
I been using MMO for many years in my cars, mowers, blowers, chain saw etc etc. The way they are showing how it works in the engines...almost make me want to drink it too!! HA!
MMO really works. With the addition of ethanol in today's fuel, it leaves behind a varnish tar like substance that over time will ruin your engine whether you have a flex fuel engine or not. I use it every tank full. I do not however use it in my engine oil because I use Amsoil 0w-30 Synthetic and MMO is not needed. Try it out in your next fill up, you will notice an improvement.
What's the difference? 1990's cars had electronic fuel injection, and their point was that MMO works just as well in a FI engine as it did in the old carbureted ones.
Did you fill up your gas tank *after* pouring in the Marvel Mystery Oil? When you use any gas additive, you're supposed to pump in some gas afterwards to mix it all together, otherwise the stuff just sits at the bottom and could get sucked into your fuel line in concentrated form. If you've got pure oil spraying into your cylinders, it might explain why your spark plugs gunked up.
@logik316 i cant remember i probably didn't have that much gas to begin with, but i remember it happened right after i used the mystery oil my car started to misfire and i checked the plugs they looked horrible, no big deal i just had to change the plugs and hasn't happened since.
I mentioned it because I once used a fuel cleaning additive (can't remember the product, but it was thicker than MMO). I made the mistake of adding it after pumping the gas, and it was also really cold outside so the stuff probably didn't mix in properly and just went straight into the fuel system and didn't burn right. A minute after I drove off I kept stalling and couldn't get the car to go faster than 50. It eventually cleared itself up.
I've also tried MMO in the tank, BTW. Didn't seem to do anything one way or the other. It might help lubricate your valves, but that's really only of any possible benefit for old classic cars built with soft valve seats designed for leaded gas.
Best stuff, but to tout "environmental friendly" is a joke. Don't you know that the movement of the environmentalists has been exposed as a complete FRAUD. The game is over. Check out the East Anglia fiasco and the Harold Lewis - Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara resignation. If you still believe in man made global warming? You believe in the Easter Bunny as well!
@guuuu666 that was actually a fuel injector----that thing at the tip that looks like a spark plug cathode is actually a dispersing plate to spread the atomized fuel evenly around the combustion chamber.
Marvel and Lucas oil are the only additives you should ever need. Imho

Good stuff. I use it to coat engine parts not requiring assembly lube during rebuilds. Love the way this stuff smells too...lol

It DOES work! I have been using it for 30 years. Read the instructions on the container! Don't depend on some of the UTube videos I have seen...
