  • Twin Hype were a head of their time. Today this track would still rock in a club...one of the first hip house pioneers

  • i was 17 when this came out in 89

  • @TheAndre396 i was 13. everyday after school at 4:30 i didnt come outside until yo mtv raps was over. i had this tape.those were the days.

  • @scheemadruci that's what's up

  • Can NE1 remember Dr. Dre and fat ass Ed Lover from "Yo! MTV Raps" somewhere between '89-'91? They first dropped this track around the same time Guru(GangStarr) dropped the track "Manifest". Niggas and niggettes was flying like birds when the DJ at our Winter Formal 1990 (Spanaway Lake High School/ Tacoma, WA) spun this shit! FYI this mixes well with Eric B. and Rakim or Boogie Down Productions w/ KRS-1. I'm damn near 40 yrs. old still busting down to this track. This shit is the business!! =)

..sorry about the spelling, I was having trouble with the Jersey Guido thing.

  • @t1201971 yep, it sure as fuck did!

  • I saw these guys open for Biz in Irvington NJ, It was an outdoor show and the pulled up on a NJ Transit bus! The crowed was laughing at the straight up. Then they rocked it and silenced everyone. O think Milk and MC Lite where on the bill as well.

  • How funny is the bit where the crown appears on homeboy's head!?

    Woot!

  • I LOVE THIS RECORD. I got the Wax for this. It was just a plastic sleeve with the sticker on the sleeve.

  • feelin ya dogg. back in the mo´fokin days)

  • Legends Manchester 1989 bring it back!!!

  • Just so everyone know's, these guys have life in prison for murder. Great ass song, I remember this. Real rap from back in the days.

  • Were'nt they from Detroit? I remember some of their songs on the tape were house like songs. Classic record.

  • 3:27 we call it acieeed. amazing!

  • sweet song for sure... i miss the days when a dj would cut it up with purpose, constructing sentences and points to ponder, had this tape back in the day, still good today.

  • Even on the West Coast I bought this tape

Twin Hype stepped it up with this no doubt.

I still got it 2, They came and went but this

    song still rocks.

  • wow this is nice :)

  • The Mighty Mouse sample is kinda funny.

  • This might be the best song ever made!

  • U takin me back kidd! Damn that was damn near 18 years old when we did that. lol

  • Yup I remember this from the late 1980s--IMO these guys have the best sounding voices of all the rappers I've ever heard :)

  • thats cuz they sound like rakim... still though, great song, one of my favorites.

  • Yup, you're right they do like Rakim. Their voices are so calm and soothing. I actually don't listen to a lot of rap or hip-hop in general (especially not nowadays LOL), mostly old-school
