Pressing 2 keys with 2 fingers isn't really that hard when you think about it haha. :P

Pressing 4 with 2, ie. 2 with 1 finger is a little harder but possible with some practice.

Izzy, how long have you been playing to reach this level ? Do you have some advice to become better at stepmania faster ? (like, for example, playing at a certain speed, or certain songs) I'm currently playing at C550 speed, and on lot of different songs, but I'm not sure I'll improve my level that way =o

It's hard to say as different people needs different ways to reach a higher level, and it's always hard to find the next step on how to improve.

I'm barely playing anymore, cause of a lot of reasons, and when I play I usually keep playing around C650 to C700. When I was at my best and as in this video, I never played below C700 and usually around C750 to C800. Other things that can help out a lot is by playing on a higher judge for a few weeks or months.

I can't help but believe that this sort of timing would have transferred over to your feet had you chosen to let it. You coulda been one of the best in the world at DDR/ITG with feet. Exactly right, but it's not really easier, sometimes a bit harder depening on how much the left finger have to do compared to the right one (I'm right handed btw).

It's mostly got to do with that I get mind blocks when I've played the "Original steps" I.E without Mirror too much, and I start pressing the wrong keys all the time. Switching to mirror usually does the trick then. :D

Yeah it mostly is, I can also play Spread, One Handed and some other styles, but I've got the best timing when it comes to Index.

i found it so so hard to get full marvelous on judge difficulty 4

even on difficulty 1, ill get like 100 perfect

Thanks alot, I've also played o2jam a couple of times earlier, mostly on simulators though with a keyboard like this. :P

The main thing that helped me (except for training and training and training...) was playing on a higher judge for either a couple of weeks or months, so try it on 7 for atleast a week and then switch back to 4. It might work,and it could not. :P

ya ive tried to play judge4 one day and switch it back to judge 1

and i found its easier to marvelous but still got like 70 perfect......

in o2jam, only when i thought "i cant aim to cool(best)" did i fail to get a cool

but in stepmania i found that EVEN I thought i should get a marvelous,

sometimes it fell to a perfect....which means actually i'm not as accurate as i thought><

i cant even imagine what would happen if i play judge7 XD

was it because you use your index fingers only?

Yeah I've got the best timing using Index, then either Spread or One Handed I belive.

I've Quinted (AAAAA) a few songs with Index, Quaded (AAAA) atleast 50 (kinda-hard-songs-like-this) or over 200 in total. I've also Quaded a few songs with One Hand as well as Spread. :)

Well, you could try and learn different playing styles, which makes you a better all around player, so go for that. :)

Yeah I kinda press 2 keys with 1 finger to be able to press 4 keys with 2 fingers, which works with some practice. ;)

Izzy i need your opinion or help. I have had high iron levels before and poor hand circulation, takes about 30+ minutes to get blood in my hands to play at a decent speed. i can do 300bpm but i am barely not fast enough for 360bpm like Vertex Beta, have you got any tips to increase speed and hand circulation? do you exersize alot? like for example when u just spam 1 button i cant even do songs that spam 1 button at 300bpm ....... too fkn fast no matter how hard i try.

That's a bit unlucky, hope it gets better.

I could consider myself lucky as of that, and as I don't play as much as I used to, I don't exersize a lot, even though I should. But lifting weights have helped me a lot, both for the strength and stamina in hands/fingers.

Hey man I had low iron levels too. I've been doing keyboard stuff on foot for a while, anytime I play in the arcade Pump It Up or In The Groove, my hands go numb and feet to some extent for a while. I took iron for a long time and now that I stopped I feel it worse, so I'm starting to take it again. All I can say is remain diligent and take that iron, even though it sucks all the bloating you might get from it

It all depends on playing style, I often use ASKL or something a like when playing Spread.

When I'm playing Index I'm only using the 1235 at the numpad because of the arrow keys are messed up and cannot be used to play with. :P

For Index (as for this video) I'm playing on the numpad, 1235, the arrow keys on that keyboard are pretty broken. :P
