    How about talking to your local photo stores and asking what they do with disposable cameras that they receive for processing?

    My guess is that whilst they used to send them back to the manufacturer to be reloaded with film, these days they may just be dumped! It's worth asking.

  • If you have a disposable camera that you would like to donate to our Solar CITIES projects in Africa and the Middle East, please remove your film when it is used yourself (crack open the camera) rather than send the camera to the developer, and send the empty camera instead to us at Solar CITIES, 48 Wisthoffweg, 45139 Essen, Germany and we can make more lighting kits for 3rd world development. Thanks!
