Two problems with your conclusions.

1) The ticketed area had people seated next to each other in an orderly fashion during the inauguration. People in demonstrations where there is no seating will take up two to three times more space than indivduals seated in pre-arranged seating.

2) More surface area was used during the inauguration than during the pitful 912 demonstration.

So your argument only serves to bolster the DC Fire Department estimates.

But as time went by and more and more people flowed down Pennsylvania Avenue, they had nowhere to go. Those people began to chant. "We own this Mall," and as taxpayers, they were absolutely right.  Eventually, the Mall filled with people too, because by 2PM, Americans were still marching, shoulder to shoulder, down Pennsylvania Ave.

Literally, you guys had maybe 50,000 people.. You didn't go past 3rd street which was always the 50,000 mark when the Park Police made their estimates. The D.C. Fire Department made a generous estimate of 60,000 to 70,000.
