  • shit! obviously got more money than one finger!! all that equipment there, what a waste

  • This is Daft this is not Booker T and the Mgs Studio version is it?

  • @blonde7000 Yes, This is Booker T. & The MG's, but a difdferenr version.

  • upbeat little to fast

  • Yo Yo Ma! This song is irrevocably associated with the Seintology mashup by Wayne Snell, for me.

  • @TJOPootertoot This Song was written and recorded by Booker T. & The MG's in the seventies

  • I was searching for Booker's studio version but was happy to see this too. Good ear.

  • You remind me of a funky Anglo Indian I once knew. Really enjoyed that. Thanks.

  • What kind of Leslie is that?

  • That Hammond Organ sound is great. I played this song in my head whilst watching a naff (Poor)band playing at my local (boozer). I left early to make my way home to view Youtube instead. Very satisfying I have to say ¦¬)

  • that was absurlutley awsom playing realy enjoyed it thanks for posting

  • @pauldean50 Thanx for the great comment !

  • Im just starting to teach myself the keyboard and while playing around on it I suddenly heard couple of notes of this song. Now Im using this great song to try to fully understand the keyboard. Im trying to figure out the keys and the fingersettings, its not easy but sometimes I feel im getting there. For my fist chord I use CGD, is that about right?

  • COOL!

  • I still have this album circa 1968

  • nice danno, i could watch it 10 times long, greetz from germany/berlin

  • Dude, you played the heck out of that song. BRAVO!!!

  • Brill your now in my favourites thanks

  • Is that Summer Place in the beginning?

  • Nice job, but that is actually not the original "Time Is Tight" bass line.

  • Actually, That is Booker T. & The Mg's playing an alternate version with myself over playing Mr. Jones. So all parts played are orginal...Just an alternate version. And "Studio Version" refers to my studio. Thanx for the great comment

  • @ltdanno1 hmmm, so the alternate version uses a different bass line...sounds like a cross between the original version and "Can't Turn You Loose."

  • @ltdanno1 Very good job ,I would like to try to play this famous music from Bokker T. could you help me to find a backing track ,thank's a lot for this demonstration and sound quality, see you soon I hope

  • excellent job man, loved it :)

  • wow. Awesome playing .Thank you I really enjoyed it.

  • Hi there Danny, great video and well done. Is that a light in the Leslie? Thanks

  • i remember growing up and hearing this song amoung many others, but the organ has always been my favorite instrument! so many emotions that it can create, its most the time mind boggling. and you sir play it damn good! thnx for uploading!

  • awsome! greetz from holland !.

  • bravo muy bien

  • Cool-very cool. Thumbs up!

  • What is the name of the gentleman who is playing the instrument?

  • We used to dance to this song on Sunday afternoons at the Paul Sauvé Arena in Montreal in the late sixties. The place was jam-packed and uncomfortably hot but we never stopped. If I tried that today under the same conditions they'd have to call in the paramedics. It sure brings back memories to this 57 year old teenager. You play it so well that I actually thought that you were a member of the original band. I'm going to take a look at your other videos. Fantastic job.

  • very nice~

  • Awesome, this was just terrific.

  • while in the marine corp stationed at CamPen, CA, we would lay in bed call the local radio station and request these songs to be play, great listening music, brings back lots of goodtimes, R. COTTEN E-4 USMC 1967-1971

  • goed gespeeld!!

  • Thank you for posting this. My father owned a Hammond (not the B3, but a pristine furniture-esque model) and leslie and used to play quite a bit of this stuff. This really brought back memories.

  • Pukka instrumental

  • Hi, LT. It's me again.

I "visit" with you just about once a week and list\n in. I just wanted to "boost" whatever all of your other fans have said. "Time is tight" has become one of my all time favorites and I just like to hear you play it. Especially this "long version . Get the new Leslie yet? If so, when are we going to see it and hear your next "triiumph"? I guess I should make a better choice of words, but keep the home fireas burning and, above all, stay save.

    Dave

  • Excellent musicianship. I thoroughly enjoyed this rendition of Time is Tight. Thank you.

  • The only thing I can play is the radio/stereo, etc.. so enjoy the talent you have because I would if I could... enjoyed your performance... one of my all time favorites... Mav

  • What's your equipment? That Leslie (?) looks interesting watching it spin up and down.

  • Very Very nice Job ....great tone...Sounds sweet..

  • I thought at first, not another good song turned into a dirge.Great sound, love the spinning leslie,s, I couldn,t crank my laptop up loud enough.Bring back the hammond.

  • I posted 2 comments about a week and a half ago and have been waiting for a response from you, LT. They're missing. Did you remove them? I can't 4,for the life of me, think of anything I i said that would inflame anyone (What a word to use when talking to a Firefighter) or could have been percieved as objectionable. I'm not that way.

  • Just guessing a technical glitch? Tou've never said anything but very nice positive things to me....so no...not mad a ya.

  • Hey menneke das goverdomme goed gedaan.

Hey man, thats very good, and you have a Very nice instrumenrarium.

    Very nice..

  • we'll get there gotta find the time

  • What does a Leslie do

  • This is one cool tune played by one cool cat !!

  • Dude... what is that Leslie with lights???

  • Super cover of Time is Tight! Sir, you really rock playing it like this. Superb!!!!!

  • Very Nice!

Which version is this? I cant find the release this version.

  • It's called "Tight is Tight" I believe. Has the organ intro and outro that's missing in the original.

  • Very nice, I love the see-through rotary speaker, what kind is that? Looks small for a Leslie

  • Oh,thank you sooooo much.You're doing great!

    Great song,one of my favourites

  • LT, thanks for a great version of a great tune. this has always been one of my favorite songs, all inclusive. You do a wonderful job on it. Also, if I may be so bold - I'm from the Volunteer Firefighter ranks and understand you're a firefighter Lt. May I ask where and for how long? Please continue turning out vids like this one. They are greatly appreciated by all of us. I wish I had 1/2 your talent.

  • Hey, I love this song, and you've done a great job here.

THere's just one thing I'd like to ask about,

this doesn't sound like the studio version...it has a lot of extra sections that the original 2-minute version didn't...GREAT sections, but from what?

  • Hi,

You've done my favourite tune jusice

    John

  • It would be so cool if you played Apollo 100's "Joy" at the fast tempo the band uses, with a drum beat accompaniment. I know it's harpsichord, but I'm sure you could make a similar sound with a Hammond - plus a Hammond sounds so much cooler than any Harpsichord.

You would forever earn my eternal respect. lol

  • I also just read that you're in the fire department. Thank you for serving as a firefighter. You guys are heroes.

  • Dang, that's awesome.

Have you played with the new Hammond XK1?

I'm trying to get into Hammonds. I've never played an electric organ before, and the XK1 is really inexpensive, so I'm considering it as a starter organ.

  • did the xk1 in the begining. I do have a B3 and 122 leslie and also have an XK3 2 manual in the hammond traditional case....it;s Grrrrreeeaaaattttttttt

  • Can you sell me a Hammond really cheap? :)

  • Not too bad.

    I like your version.

  • absolutely brilliant 5/5!!!!

  • thank you for the great comment.
