I have had this ball for almost a year, and it's been sitting in my closet because someone other than my regular pro shop guy drilled it, and it dropped my average 40 pins...literally. In addition to my spare ball, i throw a storm thunderstruck and a storm prodigy, and average 215. Would it be worth the extra money to plug and re-drill my bounty hunter to add that super aggressive ball back into my arsenal?

you can always take the surface down a pad or 2. i had the same problem with my virtual gravity and i took it down to 4000 polished and it works great.

ha, what does everyone expect this ball to do?

1. It's a ridiculously strong ball, one of the strongest on the market.

2. They're throwing it on what looks like wood lanes, or at least a high friction surface.

3. They have a decent amount of revs.

Of course this ball is going to lose energy and flatten out.. But even in doing so, it looks like it is still hitting well, which makes me think that its a good ball. Too much for a ths, but good for heavy patterns and burning up spots.

Well Guys i bought one and its more than Great. Got a very strong and clean backend reaction. BUT all these comments i see ......... Guys if you dont drill the ball correctly OR if you are not a high rev bowler OR the oil is medium on 40 Feet dont expect much. My example 39 feet heavy-Med oil from position 35 to 2.5 arrow hooks like hell. I tried the ball reaction on different oil patterns BELEIVE ME IT HOOKS> Just make sure this ball is for your style of playing. hope that helped a bit:)

I bought this ball yesterday and have bowled maybe 10-15 games with it. I throw 2 handed and put at least 450+ rpm on it. I have not seen the slightest bit of hook on it. What's the deal? My speed is 16-20 too.

how can you have speed of 16 to 20. thats night and day. how is it drilled? and as for ajogamer, with 450 revs thats plenty for 20 mph. 600+ rpms my ass

3 Reasons. 1st) The floor was not clean at the breakpoint ( Due to playing many games before or etc) 2nd) You got a very big speed (20) which no ball would hook unless the pattern is 36 Feet! and 3rd) You probably not drilled it correctly cause with 450rpm that ball my friend ( this i say due to experience with it) would hit the 7 pin not the pocket!

My 1 year old Cell pearl with more than 900 games on it hooks more than my bounty hunter that has maybe 20 games on it. I throw it 18-20 mph with probably 500 revs?

I've seen this ball thrown by a proshop owner thats has a 230 average in multiple houses, couldn't get it to move an inch. Polished to surface adjustments, didn't help.

But my real comment is, why is there a globe vis a ball in the gutter all the time on the left lane, but it did get an 8 count. :P

Its meant for heavy oil. If there isn't heavy oil its not gonna recover its going to burn up and roll out. Did you try putting a light coat of polish on it to help retain energy??

Tony was gettin a kick from throwin it. Now Brian's ball was very very nice, until it reached the backend, wouldn't be surprised if he drilled another one the same way, just with the CG kicked out a SMIDGE farther, would give him the reaction off the dry that'd kick the pins to down under.
