thanks Chris, im spanish, in my country boxing is boring, you give fun for people like me, you are a shoman, life is glad, beautiful and fun with you, you are great
so they spoke about his losses at the end of his career, not his two epic wars with Benn, his 43 fights undefeated or whatever it was, 19 title fight victories in a row.... what a bullshit piece of punditry... fuck them all
Eubank is The Man, and prime would have outpointed Collins and Calzaghe
@rudeswan. yes i think jones would have won but i wonder why this never happened. to me it would have led to more credible careers as great champions- instead of having bum fighters on the resume. i wonder why there was no jones vs benn or jones vs eubank. in my eyes jones would have whooped them but a great and exciting fight
I lived in Brighton for years, but only saw Chris the once. Still, that big truck - good sight. Top fella - Chris, you are a celeb, and, unlike the others, you bloody deserve it!!!
Didnt buy into all the personal stuff like Benn, or pretend any goal other than money. He saw boxing for what it is.
After Watson he changed. Truly fearful for injuring or killing an opponent. Had he fought Collins before that, different outcome. No question.
To step in & fight Joe C when Collins ducked was the mark of the man. As was his grace in defeat. Properly conditioned Eubank v Calzaghe? Too close to call. What a fight that'd be though!
Too true. He was never the same after Watson. Loved every one of his fights. Collins wouldn't have sttod a chance a few years earlier aginst Eubank or Benn.
Chris Eubank achieved more than Steve Collins in his career, Chris Eubank will be remember as a greater fighter. And technically he did not get the shit beat out of him by Steve Collins they both fought two tough fights, also Steve Collins duck Joe Calzaghe and Chris Eubank stepped in a afe weeks notice.
@warriorofwrestling he was at the end of his career when he lost to calzaghe and was a different fighter due to the watson incident, a young eubank would of kod joe in 6...
@MR1ICE 2 fights where Collins beat the crap out off Eubank and Benn. Collins was the daddy. That's why they ducked him for years. Collins wiped the floor with the 2 off them.
No it wasn't, they showed it on the replay and the punch connected but Chris said afterwards that he was off balance so it counted as a knock down.
Chris said he did it for the money and look what he achieved, imagine if he'd done it for the hunger and glory, he could have been unbeatable, even against Jones or Toney, no doubt!
He went bankrupt, so he must have lost most of it.
I never really rated him, Turpin in his prime would have made mincemeat of Eubank.
I thought he was a really frustrating boxer to watch. I also thought he was lucky. Watson beat him in the first fight, Watson's head hitting the ropes when he fell was the only reason Eubank won their second fight and Benn should have got the decision over Eubank in their second fight.
Stop mentioning Turpin in an attempt to sound like an enthuisiast, Turpin may have been more naturally gifted but Eubank and other fighters of his generation had far better conditioning and would have out hustled older fighters....thats the reality!
I mentioned Turpin for the reasons I stated in my message because I think he would have beaten Eubank whose style would have played into his hands. Your talking about my trying to sound an enthusiast is nonsense. The very fact that people are posting comments on this shows wer're ALL enthusiasts.
I think boxers back then had just as good conditioning, they needed to because they fought more often. In any case Eubank often seemed to struggle with stamina so I don't agree with your point at all
I've seen Watson Eubank 1 many times and still do not think Watson did enough to take the title, draw everytime!
The 2nd fight however, now thats a different story.Eubank was the luckiest man alive to win that one but, showed imense heart to get up from a knock down to return the favour to Watson.
Michael on the other hand, was the unluckiest man on the planet that night.
Damn shame as there would have to have been a Benn vs Watson rematch.

Why did they only use examples of when Eubank lost fights?
They obviously hated him when he was winning all the time, as most people did!
not me though!
Love him or hate him, theres only one Chris Eubank!

Maybe so but Chris still looks like a Pitbull, I have no respect for him whatsoever and seeing this made me laugh.
HOWEVER, what I said was a bit stupid and I apologize.
