I am so happy that Mr. Duignan got out of $cientology and happier that he came out and wrote his book. Hope he made some money out of it to enjoy his cult-free life.

Presumably Jesus was the last non hierarchal person who was also a religious figure. If you think about it Jesus became an icon and a political figure a good deal more after he was tortured to death. Jesus is like the kernal of truth in all stinking bullshit Christian hierarchies. People do not realize this. The higher people are in their hierarchies, the more loyalty to the lie counts and the less truth counts for anything. It is a grouping behavior belief kind of thing.

For your own mental health it is probably best that you learn the difference between dogmatic GeorgeBushitt behavior and reasoning behavior. There is very little perceptive behavior, but a great deal of gaming and rule behavior in civilized behavior. Some people are really good at gaining status in a group, but they are essentially sociopaths. For instance the pope is a very guarded sociopath. You can get higher in the organization while becoming a better gamer, while slowly depleting your natural understanding or perception. Insiders need a mirror to see what is happening to them. For instance, in a big/old religion the Pope considers that he is really close to god,. The only problem it is the pimping god of glitz and high and mighty, and he can't even see it.
