house is from chicago 4 sure,in rotterdam they invented hardcore house,in the early 90s , specificly in parkzicht,a dark nightclub,in the middle of a park,near the euromast,this club was always full with feyenoord hooligans,and drugs were almost openly used,ghegheghe and because of that the dj s,had to play faster and faster,hihaaaa,and then they started producing records themselves,because there where no records,witch were fast enough hahaha,and then it turned into fast and silly kids music...

@skatercrazed What are you on about? A handful of European artists pioneered "Electronic Music/Pop" from the mid 70's to mid 80's. However it was the American's who funked it up. Originally the Electro Breakbeat crews moving on to the Disco DJ's who between them created "Techno" and "House" . Hip Hop sampling went hand in hand with cutting up breaks from records. I will point out that Jungle Techno (D&B) is a direct ancestor of Hip Hop and not Techno, Electro or House.
