@TylerGWelch - It's pretty much the same as PS 3. All the missions and objectives are the same. The only difference is the controllers and how you use them. I like both versions though. Play them both and decide for yourself on which you like best.

Did they just use Brando quotes from the film or was the character actually voiced? the audio sounds like it's from the film and edited in.

@colliric A little bit of both. Sadly Brando died shortly after one of the recording sessions, so the lower quality sections in the middle of the game are taken straight from the movies. This video was recorded for the game though.

Wrong, they were both built on the EXACT same game engine! no where is this more obvious than the Wii version....

Scarface used the engine alot better to produce a better overall game.

Meh, not getting Al Pacino in Godfather the game was a big let down for me as well because you should have been his character...

At least Scarface had you get to play him.

But I guess that was Al's decision not to support the Godfather game after his friend, Godfather director Coppella, condemned it as a studio cash-in.

@colliric ok, i understand that but you have to remember just like the godfather movie al wasnt really invovled in alot of stuff untill the near end of the film, or atleast the middle, so you wouldnt have been able to play him that much but the only thing that made me a lil mad was the fact that the character who was supposed to play him didnt look like him at all and it was a different voice but overall it was still a decent game

@dware420 Well, to EA's credit there was no way they could get Al Pacino, for multiple reasons. One being that Al Pacino would be considerably more expensive to get than hiring another voice actor. Two being that Al Pacino's voice has completely changed due to age and smoking habits, he can't possibly emulate his younger voice.

is it bad that i love this game more than any girlfriend ive ever had? i just get so immersed in this game. its so much fun. i love anything mafia and the godfather is my fav movie. taking over compounds, the storyline, robbing banks, wars, fighting, everything is so much fun. ugh i might pop it back into my ps2 and play it again. ive beaten this game abt 20 times in 5 yrs.

@vidaa82 I've installed it on my computer about 30 times but I've still only beat it twice. The main problem for me is just the lack of variety, all the missions kinda bleed together and there were only like five cars in the game. Not saying it's a bad game, quite the contrary, I loved the game. My only issue is that it never really changes anything on each playthrough, so it makes replays kind of tedious for me.

yeah man i know exactly what u mean. it does get repititive. when the game is over theres not much to do. its just so much fun while your playing it tho. i find a new motivation to play each time.try to get more money, kill more ppl, or create yourself. have fun with it.
