  • 4:11-4:35 FUCKING AWESOME

  • 3:35 to the end is a religious experience

  • You know what would be amazing? A 5 or 10 minute loop video of the end horn experience.

  • ils y vont un peu fort avec la trompette -_-'

  • I wish I could take the 3:35 - 4:35 section, make it into a loop, and convert it to being my real life.

  • 6 people were on the receiving end of it all.... LOLOL GIMME THUMBS!!!!!

  • This album sounded too latin....

  • @ExclaimedQuestion ... it has horns if thats what you mean. stupid

  • @manwarcow No, If you listen to Everything Went Numb, it doesn't sound Latin. Listen to We Will Fall together, and it almost has a Latin feel and sound to it. it's still a good album, it just has more of a latin sound than other stuff...

  • @ExclaimedQuestion None of their lyrics are in Latin, and this sounds nothing like Roman music.

  • @1337Tempest Who said their lyrics had to be latin for it to have a latin feel?

  • @ExclaimedQuestion When you said Latin I assumed you meant Latin, not South American.

  • @1337Tempest Most of South America's Cultural influences are Latin, so we're both right I guess.

  • streetlight manifesto is amazing, im 15 and i've been listening to them for 5 years, they're music is so real and has so much meaning, its so much better then any music we have now. they're one of the greatest bands in the world

  • their bass stands out so much live <3

  • heard them play this in toronto a week ago. such a good song, such a great show!

  • great band! cant get enough of them ;)

  • "Somewhere in The Between" is my favorite album closely followed by "Keasby Nights" and then a close "Everything Went Numb"

  • @RAK4SHOT What about 99SoR?

  • Tomas Kalnoky is a genius:)

when i go see them on the 13th, hopefully i can get his autograph...i already have Jim Conti's and Chris Thatcher's :D

  • 4:13 to 4:36 is so fucking epic

  • @TheMetalupyourass83 ttrutly epic

  • SHUT UP TOMAS, I'M TRYING TO HEAR THE HORNS.

SHUT UP HORNS, I'M TRYING TO HEAR THE BASS.

SHUT UP BASS, I CAN'T HEAR TOMAS.

  • saw them live -- the place went crazy right at 4:11

    :D

  • @6squirrels me 2! RIIIIGHT at 4:11!! one of the best headbangings! :P

  • if your breath is taken away that long you're probably dead to :p

    best song ever.

  • If your breath isn't taken away between 3:36 - 5:19, you probably dead.

  • @Fizz102 it means ur on the recieving end of it all

  • ...We used to be in love, and now were just in like. And we broke all are promises, and baby that aint right

  • Kalnoky just captures my minds and fucks it with his amazing lyrics. And you know what? My mind cummed too.

  • One of the greatest band ever? THIS GUYS ARE GODS, THEY ARE THE BEST BAND EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love the lyrics in this song man. streetlight kicks ass

  • this song moistens my ear pussies.

  • 4:12 - 4:36 probably one of the few non-lyrical part of any song that has had me on the verge of tears

  • 6 people found themselves on the receiving end of this

  • mind is blown from the extreme awesomeness :D

  • @whilwheaton they aren't at all lol..? how can you even compare the two?

  • This song shows so much symbolism that I do agree with ska4ever762 that the songs that do not deserve such attention unfortunately are given so. This song is one of the better songs in the world at the moment, the song should tell all of you what you should not do when you have a relationship because it shows how he got screwed over.

  • wow, these guys are just like the ska version of rise against

  • all good ska bands come from jersey...

  • one of their bests.

  • 4:11 i just close my eyes and i am in heaven.

  • @Tstokes44 That part of the song is my ringtone. It's just so epic!!!

  • Streetlight literally has a song to describe any situation a person can be in. Tom is a fucking genius.

  • Jersey Bands Fucking Rule

  • @OakRidgePunk777 I know right?

  • 4:12 made me fall in love with this band.

  • @MrOrangexMan definitely agree.

  • @MrOrangexMan 4:12 = greatest breakdown in all of music

  • why does streetlight manifesto have to be so damn epic to the point my organs start failing? Goddamn it streetlight! u guys r just too awesome.

  • 1:21-1:51 So epic

  • And when he left us he said, "It's not so bad"

That motherfucker he took everything we had

And when I'm thinking back, I'm counting all the ways

Nobody helped us so we dreamt of better days

And we sang: "Yeah that's just the way that it goes"

  • This song is uberlete. I f**kin love it.

  • 4:13 is the most beautiful thing ever

  • @streetlasser Tom Kalnoky is a crazy good musician

  • please don't hate me for this comment.

i'm new to Streetlight Manifestio, and it just seems to me that after Keasbey Nights, they stop sounding as..... happy as they did before.

NOT HATING!!! just what i've noticed and i'd love to get what you guys think (because you'll know more about Streetlight then me).

    good song though!! ^^

  • @LittleSam14 their lyrics have always been pretty depressing, but you're right, the're not quite as upbeat as they used to be. Thats not necessarily a bad thing though, because misery often results in the best music.

  • @987657654321 i wasn't specifying about their lyrics. i was kinda just talking about the 'upbeatness?' of it (i suck at words). i actually like the lyrics, they have meaning!! about time something good was made. instead of this "rara olala, rama ramama, gaga, olala" bunch of bollocks.

also, misery has alot of emotion in it which is fantastic!! :D

  • 4:12 is a moment that truely reminds you of why you love ska oh, so much

  • That muthafuckaaa he took everything we haaad!

  • big booty bitches

  • LOL. Sounds like garden of Eden

  • this song is fucking epic.

  • This is the best band ever. This is the one of the band's best songs. The only reasonable logic that adds up is that this is one of the best songs in the world. How can a band be SO AWESOME!?

  • is ther e really an album excisting from them?

  • Sorry if it is or not obvious but my english is not that good.... can anyone tell me who he is referring to when he says: That motherfucker he took everything we had

    "He" and "We"

  • It appears to me that Tom(the singer an narrator of the song) was in a relationship with someone called Marigold and she went off with another guy. So the "we" is the narrator of the song and Marigold, and the "he" is the one she went off.

This is just my interpretation of the song so could be wrong but hope it helped at all :)

  • ahh kewl thx :D

  • @RedStarRiot nice thx but i dont think it is it :)

And when he left us he said, "It's not so bad"

That motherfucker he took everything we had

  • @fausimo "he" refers to "that motherfucker" and "we" refers to the girl marigold and the singer.

  • :P thx but im still a bit lost that motherfucker would be someone we just dont know? like leaving it blank for our imagination? and the writer keeping it personal?

  • It seems to me every few months theres always one song of theirs that speaks to me. This time its this one.

  • @CCSUCaboose whats with the hate for emo? also please never use that word ever again because at this point i don't think anyone (including myself) actually knows what it means anymore

  • @987657654321 It means people who listen to emo music. It's a trend scene in music with fans. not people who are all sad and cut themselves.

  • @CCSUCaboose Please make at least a slight effort to understand the difference between the forms of "they're" "their" and "there". Geeze....

  • @CCSUCaboose Do you, or have you ever listened to Catch 22? Like a lot of people fight over who's better but they're also exactly like your comment, just a lot less professional sounding! You have the right idea about music!

  • @MegaPictureShow I've tried listening to post-Kalnoky Catch 22, and they really aren't that great anymore. They're OK, but the vocals suck and the songs just aren't as catchy as Streetlight's.

  • @Valkodu haha i only listen to kalnoky catch 22. his voice is amazing. streetlight songs make me think and have deep feelings but kalnocky ctach 22 makes me just want to dance :)

  • @Valkodu haha i only listen to kalnoky catch 22. his voice is amazing. streetlight songs make me think and have deep feelings but kalnocky ctach 22 makes me just want to dance :)

  • this is my favorite song at the moment...it's always changing with them. they're fantastic!

  • love the bass at 3:36, too bad i can't find the tabs to learn it =(

  • Just this strange but beautiful way of making music..

    They're just absolutely amazing.!

  • I love this song! <3 I can really relate to it.

  • This song is so god damn epic.

  • best song =D

  • @WickedMediaFilms almost every song from kalnoky is the best song :D just too many epic seriously it just doesnt end

  • True Dat.

  • I just love the trumpet solo @ 4:14 soooo damn much :) excellent song by an equally as excellent band

  • i still have yet to find a favorite song of theirs because they are all just so goddam good, i couldnt choose for the life of me.

  • no one can theyre just that amazing

  • @ManOutsideYourWindow my thoughts exactly. Before I had heard them all, every time a song ended and a new one started I thought "No, this is my new favorite one"

  • My Favorite Streetlight song :D

  • I think maybe mine too.

  • soo intense at 4:14 haha i love it

  • This song is pure awsome, all of you who think rap is crap, your totally right! No one gives a care for Ska but it's the third wave, and nothings going to stop us now!

  • I've been lucky enough to see them twice, and both times just blew me away.

I think this is my favorite song off of this album.

    Great post.

  • Which album was this?

  • It's in the description... But "Somewhere In The Between."

  • @Robocrat zing!

  • dude i want the base tabs sooo bad

  • this song is pure fucking genius.

  • i love this song, fuck this album was their best, streetlight ftw

  • Comment removed

  • i discovered this song the other day. the only streetlight song i didnt hav =D

  • Out of so many amazing songs, I have to say this is Tom's best, including songs from the old Catch 22

  • what about gimp and BOTAR? lol

  • wow, its bull that geniuses like tom kalnoky has 21 coments on this amazing song, but the worst song ever (solja boy, ick...) has leterally millions of coments...... wow... i hate rap, lol

  • Ya know, Kalnoky has publicly said that his first love is for visual art. A lot of people seem to comment on Streetlight's relative obscurity, but I'm pretty sure it's just a side thing for him. Which is even more respectable in a way ya know?

  • Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @ska4ever762 I like rap, but it is sad that soulja boy has so many comments in general, without even comparing it to anything.

  • @ska4ever762

yeah so im not a huge fan of rap either

but i mean ska kinda came from rap you know? i mean ska in its purest form is like a reggae crossover which is technically a type of hip hop/rap and that said, Streetlight manifesto is a great punk-ska band with occasional real ska stuff. for example Point/counterpoint definitely has its moments

  • @Jonahfishfighter Stfu rap! reggae is a real genre that came waaaay b4 rap. Rap is just media bullshit with a beat. Listen to real music.

  • @Demondean17 ok obviously i have been misunderstood

i don't really like all rap nor do i listen to it, especially if it is mainstream "media bullshit with a beat" there's some good stuff out there though and if you think you don't like it i encourage you to go listen to a large sampling of raphiphop(but listen to stuff that's off the beaten trail) there's bound to be something interesting. plus you cannot deny the similarities in conventional rap and reggae, which was kinda my original point.

  • @Jonahfishfighter i was less looking for an defensive response and more angrily prompting to learn about the roots of ska. Rap is just lyrics without a tune and I don't hate it at all. Just the vast majority of it lol. But many ska bands use rap and I recognize your point, but also urge you to learn about the Rude Boy/Mod culture of ska in the first wave and 2 tone.

  • @Demondean17 i mean yeah sure dog.. i live and learn haha, but like one really has to know a lot about music before they can say that they hate anything as broad as an entire genre of music, thats just fucking ridiculous... i mean pop music, the Beatles were a pop band/(are considered today at least) to have been a pop band, but that particular genre is sooo different today and people definitely have preconceived notions about it. i like how this conv has like months apart between comments haha

  • @ska4ever762

    Hip Hop is beautiful.

    Soulja Boy aint hip hop

  • i love Kristina. its such an awesome song. the singing is no nice and all the solos are bitchin'.

  • tom didn't write kristina. its a good song though penile.

  • He did write it.

  • @Robocrat

I enjoy kittens, as well as puppies, and vaginas =D

  • @d3for3 he did. it was originally by the band Catch 22, which was tom's band before streetlight. he wrote all the songs for Keasby which is why he was able to cover them all

  • omg, streetlight is by far my favorite band. tom kalnoky is a genius, and i like every song he makes in streetlight. this is my favorite song i think tho...

  • i really wish i could write a song like this..

  • im pretty sure you could if you set your mind to it

  • im sorry to disappoint but these guys are just too amazing no one can do what they do. easily my favorite band

  • yeah, kalnoky is an amazing songwriter. I mean, there are better guitar players, and plenty of professional players who could play the horn parts but I don't think Tomas has wrote a bad song. He can touch your heart, make you dance, and simply smile in the same song.

  • Oh, Penile, not everyone thinks that.=P

  • Certainly not, sir. But most sane people do.

  • @penile1 rofl we call this kid at my school penile XD

  • @penile1 the term "bad song" does not exist in Thomas Kalnoky's vocabulary

  • @penile1 Kristina is one of my favorites from Keasby Nights

  • @penile1 thats an awsome song what are you talking about

  • ha, matt stewart beat out louis armstrong and miles davis in my favorite trumpeter so what now

  • STREETLIGHT IS THE BEST! lol, they r my favorite band by far. this is probably my favorite song by them too. they rule

  • amazing song :D streetlight has to be one if not the best band out there never mind ska band:D

  • "we used to be in love, and now we're just in like" one of my favorite lines of all time

  • at :27

i had no idea he was saying "our discount tickets for our sinking ship"

i thought he was saying something about taking a shit

    xD

  • I thought he was saying something about a discotheque...

  • I loooove Streetlight :D <3

This is one of their best songs :)

  • Wow, my comment is number 5. People have no appreciation for good music. How much you wanna bet that "Lil' Wayne" has like 17,000+ comments, that talentless bastard. Too bad Tomas Kalnoky, who has so much, has a video with 4(well 5 now).

  • You give people too much credit though, most of them are stupid.

But yes, to my regret, you're completely right.

  • omg, ur sooooooooooo right. tom kalnoky is working his ass off making amazing songs, while the stupid crap- i mean rap artists are getting all the attention. its just not right...

  • Agree, minute 4:00 is the best part, not only of this song but from the whole CD.

  • i fucking love 4:13-4:37

  • first 0:20 seconds is pretty bangin' too

  • Streetlight is life
