  • can someone please make a video of how to mod a rubik's 5x5? :) I want my rubik's 5x5 turn as smooth as Frank Morris's rubik's 5x5

  • sexy cube, better than v-cubes

  • Dude, I Just saw you yesterday all angry and stressed! I hope you're feeling better! I'm subscribed to your channel...

  • 2 things to say HOLY $h!t that was fast and how does he make his 5x5 so fast

  • someone has a video of erik akkersdijk doing a 76 second solve. type in '5x5x5 world record'. its the 5th video down from the top.

  • Go away, you attention Whore.

  • right back at'cha.

  • as for fen1rblu3 and Davdd69 I am still to see a 3 sided 3 dimensional shape of any kind lol to solve 3x3x3's you'll need to slip into another dimension

  • you're kind of wrong here. 5x5x5 refers to the number of pieces along each side. the 5x5x5 is 5 pieces wide, 5 pieces high, and 5 pieces deep, just as the 3x3x3 is 3 pieces by 3 pieces by 3 pieces. the numbers have nothing to do with the number of sides. whenever you see someone type 3x3 or 5x5 only, it is because they are too lazy to type out the additional x3 or x5.

  • With the puzzle being a cube!! it naturally will have equal dimensions on in all three dimensions the description os 5x5x5 is however wrong as you are solving the outside faces of 54 cubes 2 faces of 36 cubes and 3 faces of 8 cubes total of 150 faces or 5X5X6 seeing as the internal mechanism of the cube is not part of the problem to describe it as haveing 125 cubes 5X5X5 is innaccurate it is a puzzle of 150 faces

  • once again youre confusing your notations. its true that there are 150 stickers on the cube, but thats a measure of surface area, not of volume. if you are trying to describe a cube that is 1 foot along each side, you would not call it a 1x1x6 foot cube, because that would mean it has a volume of 6 cubic feet. an XxYxZ description of a shape is always talking about volume, so 5x5x5 would describe the volume of that cube. your calculations are 100% correct, but youre talking about the wrong thing

  • Yes I agree on all levels, but my original mandate was to provide a better descripion of these puzzles and working out it's volume is not the answer! especially when there is no definitive unit size to the squares! I saw a 20x20 cube on here and I don't think it's fair to say it is 296 times bigger in volume than an original 3x3. I think the best description of these puzzles is the dimensions of the face followed by the word CUBE that implies the 3rd dimension and the number of sides (5X5 Cube)

  • dude we dont care about surface area or volume. When we talk about the cubes we just want to know how many layers it has. And In seventh grade in algebra they taght us all about. Now In eighth grade in geometry we learned that for sure you failed math

  • Yeah sorry again guy's but this is a 5x5x6!

if it's a cube it's more than likely to have 6 sides don't you think?

  • Yea it has six sides but it is a 5x5x5. Think of it as a 3D grid... 5 on the x axis, 5 on the y and 5 on the z axis... yes all 'cubes' have six sides but this cube is a 5x5x5...

  • im the only cuber in my school and can solve a 3x3 in 25.45 seconds and a 4x4 in 2min 22.5 seconds my 5x5 is about 6-7 min great job frank

  • i make this in 99 dais:P

  • yeah me too, It took me about 1 min 10-20 secs to finish my 3x3x3, for my 5x5x5, I have difficulty in finding the pieces. Is he solving the centre + the edge? Since I do it separately. It took me about 15-20 min

  • shit. thats roughly how long it takes me to do 3x3x3 XD i do 5x5x5 in 7-9 mins

  • i can solve my 5x5x5 in 15 minutes...

  • its got an orange side so rubiks or tiled cube

  • i average around 2:15-30. it helpsif you dont force the cube, i broke my first 5x5 like that. frank said his best 5x5s took him 3 YEARS to break in.

  • omg i have a 5x5x5 and i only got one side and it took me a week!

  • where can i get one?

    what brand is it?

  • u get it on EBAY for like $15-$35 + shipping it depends on if u get a rubik's brand or eastsheen brand

  • I wonder if he can solve the cube from transformers

  • oh cool

  • hmm isn't there a way to open the cube, oil it, and put it back together?

  • yes

  • Frank truly is a big cube God.

  • Where to get a cube that spins so great?... my is kind of from stoneage to this one :P

  • i think he's using an olympiccube they should be released soon

  • hes using a rubiks

  • no such thing... iof you google olympiccube, THIS youtube video is the 3rd result...

  • doesnt mean its olympicube. his olympicube is white, not black.

  • btw i found out what olympiccubes were, it's a 7x7x7

  • btw i found out what olympiccubes were, it's a 7x7x7

  • olympicubes are big cubes made by a greek company. they have 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7. theyre not out yet, i think in september

  • they have black ones too. i think they advertise the white ones coz they look better

  • aqaaauuugh i though my 90.15 3x3x3 solve and 4.98 4x4x4 solve were impressive lolz

  • my fastest time on the 3x3 is 52 seconds, still workin on the 4x4 =P

  • what type of cube is that (eastsheen, rubik)?, also how on earth do u lobe 5x5x5 cubes, i can never get mine to spin fast and my pices always pop out

  • most likely it's an eastsheen and he may not have lubed it (they turn like that out of the box) but since u're curious: you can lube a 5x5x5 by taking it apart and lubing each piece for optimum results, if u feel lazy u can just take out a full 3-piece edge and spray it into the cube

  • Wow! Im still working on my 4x4 =DDDD

  • I dont think he goes outside that much??

  • where can you get these timer thingies?

  • they come with a game called speed stackers

  • either buy a competition timer off the web or go to target and buy a stackpack. the competition timer lets u record ur best score and also can connect to ur P.C. or a competition display. have fun buying one

  • is eastsheen have ball bearings inside??

i think the taiwan custom rubik have bearings in it..

  • is going around and insulting people for being smart all u do?

  • where do you get a 5x5 rubik?

  • i can't stand the rubik's cube because the stickers are peeling off.. any idea where to find cubes without stickers? like those tiled ones.. but not the fake one. =D

  • You can order new and better stickers that won't peel from cubesmith dot COM. They sell the tiled ones there too.

  • just get eastern cube =)

  • dude not eastern

    its EASTSHEEN

  • I believe that Meffert's are like that. Not totally sure though. I DO know that they hold together better, though.

  • get a hungarian one

  • thanks for giving strangepuzzle credit, it bugs me when people upload someone elses videos and give no credit, haha and this is a great solve. :D

  • How does he get it so loose?

  • 4x4 og 5x5 get more "loose" as you use them more, this one has been solved like hunreds og times

  • Frank RULES at 5x5x5! although at 4x4 I may be almost just as good as him hehe.

  • whats the world record for solving a 5x5?

  • this is an awesome vid! Are there any more frank morris solving vids?

  • Sure, just uploaded some more.

  • do u know what brand of cube he uses in this vid?

like, so many ppl know where to get the best brands except me.

  • Rubik's brand.. well lubed rubik's

  • then how the heck is he going that fast without half the center pieces breaking? i tried slowly, and it was still messed up badly. maybe i should just get a new one and see for myself.

  • do you have RUBIK'S? is it siliconed?

  • I have one, but it broke in 3 places, so i got one from mefferts and lubed it, and it works pretty well, but i don't think it'd be as good as rubik's brand for speedcubing, so i'll just get another one and see for myself.

  • Man!!you awesome!!!
