AWESOME NEWS! Thanks to the switchover from analog to digital TV, I have more broadcast channels to select from and one of them is UTB, which carries, NHK from Japan, which carries...this show! Yay!

BTW, the panel member with the sunglasses is actor Akira Nakao, who starred in many of the Heisei Godzilla movies, among others. I think he was in "Minbo: The Gentle Art Of Japanese Extrotion" as well.

I used to watch this show almost every Saturday on Channel 18 in L.A., and was SO disappointed when they took it off last year. I loved how these guys would go to unbelievable lengths to get the special ingredients for their dishes. I remember one time when they went climbing up this mountain to get this incredibly rare mushroom & ran into a bear on their way up. Another time they waited for a week on this boat before they caught the fish they were looking for. Now THAT'S dedication.

You mean the rare salmon that is 1 out of 500,000 (around that number) or the sail fish? The salmon one I'll never forget. :)
Also the Iron Chocolate of South America as well. This show is so awesome.

the Ochazuke seems delicious...but the onigiri seems nicer to eat.the only person who chose the onogiri..was it a man or a women?
